Could ask the staff if she is a regular, they might know her?

I think that is the best plan of action. However, don't get your hopes up too much even if you could get her details. I would chat and introduce myself to a stranger sitting at the same table than I, but that wouldn't mean anything at all, I'm engaged and very happily so (as I was before I had the ring to show my commitment!)

NB. Don't call her a 'lady'. Unless she actually has a title of course.

  • When I read the title of this thread, I thought it was going to be about someone who was delayed in the coffee shop at the train station and missed their connecting train! I expected it to be about raising a lawsuit against either the train company or the coffee shop!

Instead it was something a bit more romantic. Or do I mean sinister? OP - if it was meant to be, it will be. Don't take out an announcement in the local paper whatever you do! Leave it to the fates.

A schoolfriend of mine had a holiday romance and, thinking that was all it was, didn't bother to take contact details. When he got home he was kicking himself so contacted her local radio station (this was 30+ years ago!) who read out a message trying to locate her. They are still married today :)

Metro - rush hour crush. I think it would be seen as 'discreet' not to mention her name.

I'm sure I've seen something recently where someone posted on a coffee shops facebook page & tracked the other person down that way, is it worth checking if the coffee shop are on facebook?

Does the area have a local 'spotted' group on facebook? I live in Bournemouth and there is 'Spotted Bournemouth'. It is mainly people posting stupid stuff but you do get the odd sensible question and someone can always find someone!

    Worth a try :)
