Not been on for a few days as busy weekend and work the last two days. Now not back to work till Tuesday next week :j

My wrists are a bit sore, my job involves a lot of typing (as has every job I have ever had) so last night I looked out y wrist supports and spongy wrist thing and felt much better today typing away.

Have lost track on spends. DH went to the shops today but I am not sure if he used money from the jar or switched so will check with him. DH gets paid on Thursday and really planning on staying out of the OD but we will see.

Have a few chqs coming out this month as well for kids activitys.

Off to get the kids supper then I will slump in front of the TV till bed time.

    [STRIKE]

    change S/O details.
    [/STRIKE]
  • Slow start to the day as fibro playing up.

Friend has called, can she use our WM as hers has flooded her kitchen. Was just about to stick our bedding on but will do that later.

Dinner tonight will be stewed beef, veg and potatoes (well it will be if I ever get it into the slow cooker)

House is a bit untidy so need to find some energy from somewhere to do this.

    Dinner is now on.

    Just going through the bank.

    Balance is currently £56.84

DH paid tomorrow £1879.00. Still to get CB paid so another £134 due next week. So Total to start month is £2069.84.

    Bills - £1124.28
    Debt - £353.80
    Chqs - [STRIKE]£160[/STRIKE] £120
    Road Tax - [STRIKE]£112[/STRIKE]

    Total - £1750.08

According to this we should have £319.76 left. This will need to cover petrol (food money already out) and anything else I have missed. So if we are careful we should not go into the OD and if that's the case then when I get paid at the end of September then my £600 should in theory be put away.

DH is away to work but he is on board with being careful with money so should be doable. Infact looking at the above if I didn't have to pay the car tax and the kids activitys then we would have another £272 and then if it wasn't for the debt then I would have another £353.80 :(

Gas has £9.71 but Elec only has £0.61 left. Hopefully the elec will last till tomorrow but have the WM and TD on for friends clothes.

I have put my wet washing outside to dry as my house was beginning to look like a laundrette :rotfl:

Dishes are done and I have had my lunch. Really can't be bothered to do anymore but need to as the house is a tip :(

Electricity did not last :( put the emergency on till tomorrow. Could go and get some but a: this would make by bank balance uneven (even though DH gets paid overnight) B: I really can not be bothered to walk to the bottom of the road to the shop to get some.

Friends washing all done. The TD and WM were on all day. Friend has 3 kids so had a fair bit to do.

I did make some veg soup this afternoon so we have just had that with a hot baguette. Just waiting on the veg cooking then will sit down to dinner.

Have spent most of the day in bed. I did get up and take the kids to school and do a bit of shopping but was so tired when I got back I headed to bed.

DH wages went into the bank so £100 taken out for Gas & Elec. £40 put on Elec and £20 on Gas leaving £40 spare in the envelope.

I put my car tax on my CC so today I transferred that amount from the bank to the CC (see I can be organised). CC are good for situations like that where something needs paid a few days before payday as long as you pay it off as soon as you get paid.

Dinner will be something easy as I can not be fussed with making much. DH on a late shift so he took last nights lefts over to work.
  • Still wide awake but then I did spend most of the day in bed

Late afternoon/evening I was going through our finances. Not sure how I managed to but I forgot about a CC DH has. Balance £540 and it was a high interest one. Payment was by DD each month for the min and paperless statements so I kinda forgot about it. Anyway took the money from the savings account and paid it off.

When in the savings account I realised we really need to get it back up. Currently there is enough for a 10% deposit on the house value we are looking at buying but we ideally want to have enough for 15% (advice from broker)

So DH and I need to save another £10K :eek:

And we need to do this in a years time :eek::eek::eek:

    So that's £833.33 each month :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

So this month it is a must that I stick to our budget.

    The plan is this:

    £600 my Salary
£258.80 current debt repayments (will only be able to save this from xmas on wards, so 6months)
£150 left over from DH salary
£25 already saved in a credit union
    Any overtime DH can do

    This should be £10,852.80

Not 100% this is doable but it's what we will aim for.

So to start with DH will have done 9hrs OT this week :T Wont get paid for this till end of Sept but taking into account tax should be £86 in his hand.

Now to find another £747 by end of September.
  • Got to bed about 1am this morning but had to get up to get the kids to school. DH in work doing a full days OT (part of the 9 hours OT I mentioned above). I am hopeful he will get more than £86 but I wasn't sure how the tax thing works.

Still on the :money:thinking. I use the TD a lot but this eats electricity. So I had some wet washing in the WM, this is now upstairs on the airer with the windows flung open in the hope it drys.

Need to check the bank to see if we are still on track. Plan to check this everyday.

DH will need to switch something for my Dad today, but he will get the money back on Sunday and I will pay that into the bank on Monday.

Right got some paper work to get through then better get on with getting this house in order.
  • Right checked the bank.

Look likes DH has got petrol as the bank balance is down £20 and that's normally what he puts in the tank but will check when he gets home.

So just double checked my budget was a bit out from my post above. Actual amount left over after bills and debt repayments is £306.81 so a wee bit lower but only by about £13 so that's not too bad.

Going to have a quick look at Octobers budget though as it is a birthday month in the family and I don't yet know if it will involve a meal out or not.
