    Hey Nymphaira,

    Loving the diary, great work!

    I'm not sure how much you have in savings, would it be better to use this ££ to clear your debts, then build the savings back up? Sorry if that's a useless suggestion. And I'm really looking forward to hearing the results of the receipt jar - do you do big food shops or just do top ups?

    From something you said re. the farm park makes me think you live quite close to me (EL/Borders?)? Anyway, if so, nice to 'meet' a local MSE'r!!!

    Xxx
    MBNA = £4,000 / Next = £925 (approx. tbc on 19/8)
    Tesco = £2,910.11 / Smile overdraft = £500
    Bank of Scotland = £2,782.83

    Hi

    Thanks for popping in.

    Regarding the question of using savings, not a useless suggestion at all but our debts are currently 0% interest so at the moment we have decided to keep the money in our savings pot and pay monthly to the debts. If we were paying interest then savings would be used.

    Mind you not that we are gaining much in interest with our savings :cool:

    Not sure I am looking forward to the results of the receipt jar, sure I will :eek: at it lol

    I mainly do a fortnightly shop but at the moment with the kids being off I have being doing smaller shops.

    Not near EL/Borders though have family that way but think I might know the park you are thinking about, does it have the initials EL? I am over the West Coast way.

    What a busy few days and sadly spend days. Will update the receipts later.

    Not working till Wed/Thur. Didn't work that out well as kids back to school Wed but DH will be around in the morning to see them to school and my parents will pick them up. I actually thought I was working at the start of this wee. Sometimes I would like set days but there is some pluses to working shifts.

    House is tidy, spent all day doing and was very good and didn't sneak online till now.

    Tomorrow I am going to try and get some gardening done if the rain holds off.
  • Not in work as planned. Got a call yesterday from someone at work asking (really begging) me to swap her Friday shift for my Wednesday. I agreed as I don't really have much on. The down side is I only have sat/sun before being back in Mon/Tues next week.

    Anyway not much planned for today. Went to the shops this morning so need to update my receipt post.

    House is falling into a mess again so will do some housework although I feel like falling back into my bed as so tired.

    Not sure what's for dinner, think it will be lasagne.

    Receipt list updated with what receipts I can find but I am sure there are a few more, will ask DH later.

    Dinner is lasagne and is cooking now. I am really hungry today for some reason so looking forward to it.

    DD back from her first day at high school, she enjoyed so that's good.

    Weather is not good, raining on and off and sky is very grey. I was so cold I was thinking of putting the heating on but got changed into my PJ's and put my dressing gown on. Don't think we have had the heating on for weeks.

    Still feeling very tired so looking forward to getting to bed tonight. Early start tomorrow as to be in work for 9am.
  • Wow well done on keeping the receipts!

    My kids (well kid, only one left at school now) aren't back until next week - why on earth in one tiny nation can't they all go back at the same time and have the same holidays.

    It always meant we missed times with chums from other places.

    Love the west - although NOT the midges.

    Enjoy the lasagne. I love it - no one else here likes it so I never have it.

    :)

    Have a good un.
    Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there. :beer:
    Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
    :money:Sleeves up folks.:money:

    My god am I tired but have two days off to recover.

    Yesterday was a NSD but had to spend today. Needed petrol in the car and popped into FF for a few things. Will update receipts in a minute.

    Weather here has not been nice and I def feel it cooler though not freezing.

    Dinner is cheese and bacon pasta bake, cheeted and bought a jar for 89p to make this as the thought of making a sauce was just too much.

    My face is very sore around my top gum though my teeth are not sore, so off to take some painkillers and hope that eases it a bit.

    DS got an invite to another party so more money to spend :(

    Got SIL birthday meal on Sunday but I took the money for this out at the start of the month.

    :mad::mad::mad:Rant Alert.

    SIL called this morning, she forgot to ask me before but could I make cakes for her 40th tomorrow.

    Really bloody angry, she has had weeks to ask. Plenty of people ask me but she has never in the past ask me to bake for her or her kids. So I had to rush out and spent a fair bit on ingredients (I wont get back) and spend the afternoon baking.

    Of course I could have said no but to keep the peace I agreed. Had she asked me last week it would not be a problem but 1 days notice :mad::mad:

    Have put a wash on with school things and the downstairs has been given a quick clean. Before I start making cakes I will do the bathroom as it is :eek:

    Really glad I only have a week till pay day. I need to check on the bank and move money today though as we will be in our OD again:(

    Dinner is cooking away in the slow cooker. Having stewed beef with potatoes, veg and puff pastry.

    DH is working a late shift so has gone away with left overs from last nights pasta bake.

    This week he will have done 11 hrs OT:j there is lots on offer but he is too tired to take on more and I can't really force him too.

    Just been online and moved money into account. Will be very glad when this month is over it has been expensive. Will spend Wednesday doing a budget for next month.

    Right off to do the bathroom.

    Cakes done thank god. I will admit to being a good baker and have baked for years so it really doesn't take me that long to make a batch of cakes but still....

    Anyway DD is peeling potatoes for dinner, the kids want roast ones so dinner will take a bit longer but that's fine.

    Weather here is not good, it's very dark and we keep getting heavy rain showers.
