The words with a hidden meaning there are "Crown Court". That means that this was an appeal against a previous conviction.
I know the case, and can confirm this.0 -

Aha! Thanks for explaining that. Certainly not clear from the story, if you don't know that bit of info.0 -

I know that some people will jump on this post and say that this is wrong. But it would be more constructive if people who actually know the law commented.
It is all very well thinking that you are right about something. But it's not a forum that you have to convince, it's a judge.
ok I won't jump, how about you go on the TV licencing web site and look in the Q&A section, it clearly says watching catch up TV such as iplayer does not require a licence, there is even a form on their site to fill in to cancel your licence for said reason.0 -

So you are admitting the BBC presume you are guilty until they've sent a goon round to say otherwiseThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Yes times are changing and yet the BBC and its Socialist followers still expect an entire country to fund them, sad timesThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I don't really care what their politics are (if anything). Just that they aren't treating people fairly.0

I wasn't I was using your termanology back at you, so if i was condescending (which was not my intention) then it was because of the way you worded your post, you did ask for no one to jump on you, so I didn't I suggested you go and see for your self, why is that condescending?0
