Advice urgently needed plse for T-Mobile upgrade

I made a mistake with the cost of the Sony xperia SP, it's £49.99. But I just e-mailed the really nice girl from Chat, who came back to me within minutes and confirmed that the monthly price + tariff is correct - so unlimited text & unlimited internet + 100 minutes and free voicemail for £5.93.
I've been very happy with T-Mobile over the past 2 years so am happy to continue with them. And I would definitely recommend the Chat facility.Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0 -
Still only £2 pcm for the phone - sounds like a cracking deal.littlewren wrote: »I made a mistake with the cost of the Sony xperia SP, it's £49.99. Was your contract completely up, or were you in the 6 week / 4 week period?0 -
Thats a cracking deal. To put it in context I recently upgraded with Orange and although I got a contract at £6.98/month which suits me perfectly, the Xperia SP on that was going to cost me £200 up front.
EVen if you hate the phone you could sell it and it would probably pay for you the majority of/if not the entire contract0 -

Hi littlewren, thanks for posting, I am in the exact same position - went for the same Tmobile deal via quidco 2 years ago and it ends at the start of July.
Did they state whether it was the white or black SP they were offering? I notice the SP is also 4g ready - not that ive factored that into my searches for a new phone yet!
The renewal offers when I log into Tmobile didnt look very appealing so I have been hunting around for a decent payg handset. My plan was to ditch being tied to a contract and go with Ovivo.
The phones I have been looking at are the motorola razr i, the motorola defy+ and the acer liquid e1 / cloud and some of the Huawei ones.
Ideally, I wanted something with a bigger screen as I made the mistake of playing with an S3 which is massive compared to my current xperia x8!
So, are there any phone experts out there that can advise me further? Should I try and get a similar upgrade for the SP or ditch the contract and go for what appear to be lower spec but cheaper payg phones?0 -

Hi In_A_Pickle, I was offered a choice of the white or black, so went for the white SP. Yes, although the phone is a 4G one, I will have it on 3G as it would have cost more per month on 4G.
What you need to do is use T-Mobile's Chat facility and negotiate that way. I went to the site too and didn't see anything appealing regarding upgrades, so I used Chat and the girl I spoke to was so helpful. If you can get a good deal it might be worth staying with a contract instead of PAYG, as you have to pay obviously for the phone and then top up each month anyway, and it will cost you even more if you want to use the internet. Of course with contract you are tied in for 2 years, so it depends on whether you mind that again.
The Xperia SP has a bigger screen that my Samsung Galaxy Ace, but not as big as the Samsung S3, which I agree is a great size!
Let us know how you get on & good luck
