Hi,
Could I have your thoughts please?
I have been on a contract with T-Mobile - my first ever, as I used to have PAYG - and the 24 months is now up. I'd had a good deal via Quidco, for a Samsung Galaxy Ace: £5.90 for the first 12 months, then up to £10.90, 100 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited internet. I've been pleased with T-Mobile so want to stay with them, although my Galaxy Ace is now playing up a bit.
I contacted them via their Chat facility yesterday and have got what seems like a great deal for an upgrade and I wondered what people on here think. Is it too good to be true?
It's a Sony Xperia SP, £5.93 for 24 months, with the same package, but including free voicemail this time, free delivery. I will have to pay £39.99 for the phone. I've read reviews on the phone and like it.
Can anyone see anything I may have missed on this good deal? I found it strange how they can cut my monthly rental in half for the 24 months this time too.
I'd be very grateful for any feedback, as I want to get back to them today.
Many thanks.

I know it sounds crazy, but I just wondered if some eagle-eyed person might say 'ah, but I've been in this situation before and I had problems....'
It's just that it seems too good to be true.Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0 -
I'd be cautious.
Phone is £299 on TM PAYG.
£6 x 24 = £144 + £40 = £184
Something doesn't add up....0 -

Well, I've got all the e-mails from the girl I spoke to on Chat on T-Mobile's site, and they list the deal, the costs etc. so I'll make sure I print those out in case there's a problem.Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0 -
Im in a similar situation to the OP. I'm on t-mob £20pm (600 mins / 500txts) unlt internet as a booster (Free) & a £10 loyalty discount, so my total bills are £11.50 odd a month.
If I did an upgrade, are my 2 boosters likely to continue?
Thanks in advance! - Bob0 -

I think you need to ring them to confirm the details are correct.
100 mins/unlimited texts and 1gb data is currently £21/month to a new customer so I very much doubt they would also give you unlimited data for only £5.93p/month.
As already stated the total you would pay for the year is less than they charge for the phone on PASYGO.
£5.93p/month might be what they might offer for that tariff without a phone .0 -

I don't fancy ringing them again really. I did ring them yesterday to ask what they could offer me for an upgrade and the man I spoke to said I could have the Samsung 3 Mini for £14 per month but it wasn't a phone I particularly wanted and the tariff wasn't as good. I asked him the size of the screen and he told me one size and then later on changed it, I didn't feel confident dealing with him.
I then spoke to a girl on Chat on T-Mobile's site who offered me various deals and I decided to go with this one, with the cost of the phone at £39.99 and then the £5.93 per month, the same tariff as the one I have now - 100 minutes per month (which suits me fine) unlimited texts and unlimited internet (which was the booster) plus free voicemail, whereas I have been paying for that up to now.Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0 -

Mine have so yours should too, but if I were you I would go to T-Mobile's site and speak to someone on their live Chat. I found it easier than ringing up and speaking to someone and you might get a better deal that way.Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0 -
Ph4U confirmed it was unlikely if I went through a 3rd party / agent.littlewren wrote: »Mine have so yours should too, but if I were you I would go to T-Mobile's site and speak to someone on their live Chat. I will try livechat / phone / shop & am willing to travel around EE shops if required.
Keep us posted on how you do?0 -
