I never said the Lenovo is a bad phone. I said it's not the best. I know it's a good phone.
I'm just saying you can get better like the phone below- http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Preorder-5-UMI-X2-Quad-Core-smartphone-with-Android-4-2-MTK6589T1-5GHz-RAM-2GB-ROM/920707740.html
You can get the X2 a bit cheaper if you shop around. It's under £150 in a lot of places. Very nice build and good brand in China. Specs rival the Xperia Z as well.
There are other brands such as Jiayu who are doing similar phones for as low as £110 which is roughly the same as the Lenovo phone but with a few better features such as gorilla glass 2 and a bigger battery etc...
Trust me, i know my stuff when it comes to dual sim phones and what the best value for money products are. I know how to get a better deal than you mate

Best value for money isnt buying cheap tat (umi x2). The only problem is they are unknown brands and have no reputation and poor build quality.0 -

They are not unknown brands. Im sorry but please don't be one of those idiots who thinks an unknown brand means a crap product.
I suppose you think the Oppo Find 5 is a crap phone as well?
It's actually a better choice than the HTC One and a much better built phone. And besides. Oppo are one of the best manufacturers of blu ray players to date but in the phone industry they are unknown this side of the world.
Umi are a well known brand in China and their build quality is great.
You don't know what you're talking about.
But i agree, that buying cheap tat isn't value for money. But this isn't some knock off brand. It's the real deal.0 -
Even the Lenovo is bad value.
You can get a phone with the same spec as the Xperia Z for under £150 (excl tax and obviously not waterpoof or as amazing camera, stil 13mp though)
I have the Xperia Z and it's not a very good phone; I don't think I'd want a Chinese clone of it even for £150.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

Yup, i meant Xperia Z spec type phone. So high end style phone. Similar to the Galaxy S4 and HTC One spec. But it's more close to Xperia Z. I'm not talking about whether you like the design or interface or whatever. I'm saying it's similar in terms of spec. And in terms of the spec it is probably the third best phone (behind HTC One and S4) in the UK right now.
What's with the negative view on China? It's not a clone phone. Would you call the HTC One a clone of the Xperia Z as well?
Right now according to the UK the three top end phones in rank order is the Xperia Z, HTC One and Galaxy S4. The phone i posted would be ranked similar to the Xperia Z in third/fourth place.
Your argument is stupid. You've basically said that Samsung make clones of HTC and vice versa.0 -
Blimey someone got out the wrong side of bed this morning...
I know you know what youre talking about, but stay polite and people will listen and benefit from it.0 -
Yeh sorry. But i really dislike people who have the misconception that everything that's not a brand/made in China must be fake/knock off/bad.
I know one guy who dismissed the Oppo Find 5 because he'd never heard of Oppo. They are arguably the best manufacturer of blu ray players and their line of phones have always used top quality parts and the Find 5 is actually technically better than the HTC One. But people still say it's Chinese so must be crap...
I don't go around telling people to buy Chinese phones only because that;s stupid and importing phones has loads of risks. I buy them myself because i'm aware of the risks, same build as phones released here, and because it actually is good value for money. It's not for everyone but if you know enough on the subject then buy one. But no point buying a phone like the OP's one or the Lenovo one when you can get a similar phone in the UK for near enough that price and eliminate the risks of importing/no UK warranty.0 -
calm down! personally think not all Chinese brands are bad but built quality are poor, take the blade excellent phone at the time. zte is well known chinese company but built quality poor I.e dust under screen is well known issue with blade....which I have pleasure of owning....if all the phones you mention are good phones why are they not in mass market like zte, huwai, (excuse the spelling) all good Chinese companies.....because the built quality is poor,so you need to get a balance which is why i said before i prefer the lenova phone over unknown Chinese which are not in the mass market but if your not bothered about built quality then yes I would go for a unknown Chinese branded phone.0
