The trouble is, although he's probably got little or no case, he sounds the type who might well go to court just because it's "his right" to do so, and you have to weigh up whether the cost (financial and emotional) to you of defending is greater than the cost of just paying him off now and being rid of him.
This is true, and this is my dilemma.0 -

BTW Kitten can I have more grey hairs weaved into my 2014 merkin?
Must've led a sheltered life, me, never heard of that.
Then I googled it

I would let him take me to court too.
(If it ever happens...!)0 -
I'm surprised some are saying to refund him to be honest. I certainly wouldn't roll over to this morons demands! Let him take you to court - but reply to him making it clear you will be claiming for your travel and expenses as a result of attending court. Would be good if he chanced it then ordered to pay your costs!!0

I don't think I would have even replied to his email!!
I'd reply politely stating that if you receive any more abusive emails, you will report him to the police.
You did the work HE requested, you have email evidence stating that you advised him against this way, but he insisted, so you did as he requested, and you have an email saying he's happy.
2 YEARS later?!? He would be wasting his money taking it to court, as I very much doubt it would ever get to court for something so pathetic!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
