Dunroamin - I'm done roamin! lol.
I've been between flat shares and setee's for years, if I didn't make the change now, when would I? The governments aim is make everybody live with their parents till the age of 25. My Ma kicked me out at the age of 14.
What happens to the young generation with no support?
16 and pregnant that's what!
I'm anti Gov and anti - benefit, but if swallowing my pride for 3 months support would see me through this rocky patch - then swallow my pride I shall - it's not like I haven't paid for it in taxes aye.
The rich get richer - the poor get poorer.
Regarding this experience rollocks. If I can do my job with 5 years experience - why do I need to work for 40 years to prove it?
Answer? Anyone?
Sounds like an intelligent woman, your "ma"!;)0 -
I've just remembered - it's half term!0

Talking about food - the the person who said £150 is a lot of money.
Well, it takes a lot of money to eat healthy these days.
Frozen meat from the superstore.. 52% meat...!!!!!! is the rest of it?!? No thank you!!! I'd rather starve.
80% of soft drinks contain Aspartame (or some relabeled name for it)...which was shown to cause cancer. (Brain tumors in 50% of lab rats to be precise)...
Eat & Drink cheaply - you will suffer for it in the future - how much would my cancer treatment be on the NHS? £100, 000?
Nah, I'll pre-empt it and save you NI contributors the burden!
I totally disagree. I spend £250 a month to feed a family of 5. I reckon a food budget of £50 a month would be more than adequate for 1.
Also, it is far cheaper to cook from scratch than buy chicken nuggets and ready meals. Its a myth that it is expensive to cook from scratch and eat healthily. The main thing is to eat things which are in season.
I have some meals which I cook each week which cost pennies to make. Garlic risotto is one and today we had homemade pizzas for lunch and bolognaise for tea. My friend and her 4 children came round and stayed for meals. I spent around £7.50 on food today and that has fed 9 people.
I personally think the problem with people today is that they don't want to spend the time and make the effort looking for cheaper places to buy food. And they don't want to make the effort of cooking from scratch. Instead, they want someone to top up their income so that they can rush off to Tesco or Sainburys and buy what they view as "nice" food. Rant over.0 -

You raise a good point. I should proactively find better and cheaper (yet healthy!) sources for my food.
It's not about not having the energy or determination - but I work Monday - Friday 9-5. I mow lawns on a Saturday.
I go boxing once a week after work, and do home physio therapy all the other days, on top of that I'm now looking for a second job and will shortly be spending 20 hours a week studying for the OU.
There's not enough hours in the day!0 -

Well Poopy- oops I mean Poppie! We shan't find out as I'll be leaving the country when my degree is completed.
Anyway - I intend to quit smoking in two months time - I'll be stepping up my boxing. (Not that I owe you any explanations)
As I've stated previously, why cannot I not claim a little help (Only 3 goddamn months) after the tax I've paid?
I've rather see that tax back in my pocket that funding Syrian Rebel guns. :rotfl:0 -
