Talking about food - the the person who said £150 is a lot of money.
Well, it takes a lot of money to eat healthy these days.
Frozen meat from the superstore.. 52% meat...!!!!!! is the rest of it?!? No thank you!!! I'd rather stave.
80% of soft drinks contain Aspartame (or some relabeled name for it)...which was shown to cause cancer. (Brain tumors in 50% of lab rats to be precise)...
Eat & Drink cheaply - you will suffer for it in the future - how much would my cancer treatment be on the NHS? £100, 000?
Nah, I'll pre-empt it and save you NI contributors the burden!
You don't need to eat meat. Beans/tomatoes/pasta are all available in "value" ranges these days and can make a healthy and tasty meal. Sainsburys don't use aspartame in ANY of their soft drinks and do some lovely "value" range squashes and carbonated drinks.DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

Dunroamin - I'm done roamin! lol.
I've been between flat shares and setee's for years, if I didn't make the change now, when would I? The governments aim is make everybody live with their parents till the age of 25. My Ma kicked me out at the age of 14.
What happens to the young generation with no support?
16 and pregnant that's what!
I'm anti Gov and anti - benefit, but if swallowing my pride for 3 months support would see me through this rocky patch - then swallow my pride I shall - it's not like I haven't paid for it in taxes aye.
The rich get richer - the poor get poorer.
Regarding this experience rollocks. If I can do my job with 5 years experience - why do I need to work for 40 years to prove it?
Answer? Anyone?0 -

All GMO I assure you. I have my own amino acids - I don't need companies pumping me with chemically induced ones!
ETA: I'll tell you what - I'll take you up on your Sainsbury's hypothesis - I'll return with my findings! lol0 -

Get in touch with your local council and get an allotment plot then. Reclaim some green space and grown your own veg. Do something proactive rather than whinge at the lack of funds the world clearly doesn't owe you. Or get a better paid job. We'll ask you again in 40 years whether you believe those years in work should entitle you to a higher salary and whether some 21 year old should be getting the same as you.DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

LOL - Do something procreative? I'm a dedicated activist - standing up for your rights. I'm working towards my degree so I can help topple the system from the top. Stop moaning?
Are you one of those "shut up and put up" peeps .....Then we wonder why change never happens, cuz most people canny be arsed to move!
I'm pretty sure by the age of 40 my world views would not have changed but intensified..I believe in equality.
ETA: The whole idea of having to ask the local "authority" if I can grow food on Gods green grass is another absurd notion!0 -

No I'm not a "put up and shut up" type of person but I am a "get off your @rse and make it happen for yourself" person. Never claimed a penny for anything in my life.DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

And that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm merely highlighting the resistance to progression caused by our own authorities.
Anyway - I do apologise (only slightly : P ) for going off tangent.0 -

A diatribe on healthy living from a smoker?
:rotfl:
When did soft drinks become a point of note on eating within a budget?0 -
