Hi XSpender, I'm up to page 5 of your diary & have subscribed. I'm in the North East too (the not so nice bit :rotfl:). Another Whitby lover here, although I was really mad the last time we went & discovered you have to pay to park nearly everywhere now!!

Hello pink poppy:hello: Thanks for visiting and for reading my ramblings, you deserve a medal for getting so far:)

We always park in the residential streets of Whitby on the north shore. (Opposite side to Abbey, I think that's north:rotfl:). It's a bit of a hike but saves on the parking costs.

Most of today will be spent getting ready for my trip to London for the interview tomorrow. I need to dye my hair, do my eyebrows, pack, print off all my directions, booking confirmation and the prep I have done and ensure there are provisions for DH as DS is staying at DMIL until Wednesday night. He should only need some bread getting.

Apart from the above I need to give the kitchen a good clean, tidy up, whizz the vaccum round, change the sheets and take DS for a swimming lesson.

I have the chap coming to give me a quote on the patio doors this morning too!

Tomorrow I want to be able to leave after lunch as it is a very long drive so everything needs to be done today.

Banking has been done and a £2.60 TT put in the virtual OP pot to transfer to the ISA.:)

    Thank you Busy :)

I'm having half an hour on here before doing my last bits of prep and packing the car. I have bought DH some stuff to nuke for his tea tonight and lunch tomorrow and there is some pork that needs eating up so he won't starve.

    Nothing to TT this morning.

I received confirmation of the 4 weeks Christmas temp work yesterday so at least I will have some extra coming in. Ideally I want to have a job to start by the end of this year but it has gone very quiet and I don't want to pin all my hopes on tomorrows interview.

I stupidly allowed myself to eat Chinese food last night and am suffering the consequences today. Not good with a 5 hour journey ahead:(

We have never paid to park there & don't intend to start now!! We did find a free parking space last time, but I don't like parking in residential areas so probably won't go to Whitby as often as we used to :(

Hope the interview went well yesterday. When will you hear back??

I should hear back in 2 weeks. It was a whole day assessment and I got home last night at 10pm:eek: I hadn't eaten very much the night before or yesterday so have treated my self to a McD breakfast. Very naughty:o

I got a call about 2 other applications and have 2 other interviews lined up too. I am pleased because I was getting a bit disheartened as hadn't heard anything about my applications. It has motivated me to have a good job hunt tomorrow.

Today I need to go to Aldee with my M1rror voucher (got one to use next week too). I also need to take back an iron I bought as I isn't steaming properly. Will get a replacement and if this doesn't work it will be going back too.

DH has done almost all the ironing while I was away as he is wanting to have all jobs done by Friday so we have a clear weekend again.

    So jobs for today:

All the washing and line dry
    Make bread
    Tidy, dust living room
    Change sheets
    Aldee shop
Buy a new mop bucket and give the kitchen floor a proper clean

The budgets are looking very squeezed due to buying the iron and my trip away. I did resist buying extra toys for DH Christmas in Mr S toy sale today as frankly we have bought him enough.

I best move my arrass otherwise nothing will get done by school pick up time.

The jobs situation sounds very promising. Hope you get the one you want :)

I'm glad you mentioned the Aldee voucher as I forgot today. I have a reminder on my phone to check & it still slipped my mind :o Luckily DD1 managed to get one for me at the train station on her way home. Phew.

I spent yesterday working through my to do list not realising, apart from a bit of a fuzzy head, quite how tired I was after Wednesday's escapades and hit the wall at about 6pm last night. I could hardly move off the sofa and DH thought I sounded a bit drunk:eek:

Today I have floor mopping with my new £2 mop bucket to look forward to;)

I have also seen a 2 items that will complete 2 family Christmas gifts so will nip out and get them today. That will leave 2 adults, a baby who isn't born yet and DH to buy for. These and some sweeties for DS and I am done:D Not forgetting the HM sweets x 3, Christmas cakes x 5, photo calendars x 4 and DM's Christmas gift I still need to create:eek:

DS is staying overnight at DMIL and will be picked up from school so I will clean upstairs and try and think of something nice to make DH for tea after last night's something with oven chips from the freezer special.:o

I also need to do a thorough job search today as it is a week since I applied for anything new. I am determined to have something sorted by the end of the year.

DH had put the heating to come on this morning so I have woken up with blocked sinuses and a fuzzy head. It is taking me a while to get going, at least another pint mug of tea is needed.

I seemed to spend yesterday whizzing about in the car; school run, Asd@, dropping off curtains to be altered, picking them up, visiting DMIL who had had a minor op. I still haven't played with my new mop!

DH is at work this morning and DS is at DMIL so mopping and sheet changing is top of my list this morning followed by a walk after lunch with DH and the dog.

Our diet hasn't been great this week with me being away and a takeaway being consumed so I want to have a look at the meal plan and see what I can do to improve it without spending any money until next weekend as I am about £40 over my food budget:eek: We have plenty of meat and staples, fresh fruit and frozen veg so should be fine.

My 100 day challenge didn't get launched as planned on Wednesday as I was away but I may still start this on Monday. I just need to finalise my targets. Will stick to 100 days, just go over the end of Jan.

Spent a bit on the CC last night which will need to be SIF at the end of November on 3 tickets for a dinosaur show next week (half term) and panto tickets for December. I just hope DS will sit through it!

DS was up at normal time today so we have been watching cartons since 6am:eek:

I decided to transfer the money for the panto tickets and a couple of Christmas bits bought yesterday to the cc even though its not due until the end of nov so it didn't get spent. There is now only a couple of pound left in the Christmas account until we get paid again at the end of the month.

Plans for today are walk with the dog, take DMIL to the garden centre and possibly visit DBIL/DSIL if they are free. We also have a few items that need to be put in the loft, the kitchen needs tidying and 1 load to dry and 1 to wash.

The account is looking very bare today:eek: so there will be limited spending between now and Friday pay day. I will need some funds to do next weeks shop on Thursday as I have a £5 aldee voucher to use and no doubt DMIL will want tea and cake today so we will need a little bit for that too.
