Lunchtime so a PB on toast and a play on YNAB
I know YNAB isn't supposed to be used for forecasting future spends but I have been plotting and scheming our savings for the next year.
We originally planned to save up to clear the secured once the CC was cleared but after this weeks shenanigans with my job DH and I have decided to focus on pulling together a big emergency fund in case I lose my job as it is so dependant on contracts even though I am a permanent employee. The secured is so long into the term that most of our payment comes off the capital anyway and it will be cleared when we move at the end of the next year at the earliest.
Ideally I want us to live on DH wage and DS CB and save my wage but it may be more feasible to live on mine and save DH's and the CB as I get paid more each month while DH gets quarterly bonuses. The bonuses will be saved as well.
This would give us a saving rate of 48% of our take home pay. It wouldn't take much tweaking to get us to 50%:) More plotting and scheming required to cut the budget down a bit further.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

We have been to a friends lovely, small wedding today. No spends on new outfits, a small spend on drinks and a gift that was within budget that I believe the B&G will enjoy.
We now have 4 lovely days off togetherNothing planned except a swim, a walk and a run or 2 and Dh and I will be attending a concert. The usual housework and laundry will need doing but not a long list of chores for once.
I do have some items to return to the local shopping centre which I will hopefully do at some point and I have just remembered a cheque that needs paying it.
The sales person from the housing development we want to buy the house on rang yesterday so I have explained our situation and that we love the house and development but are not ready to buy at the moment and she is keeping in touch. DH and I have been wondering if it is feasible to keep this house as a BTL and buy the other house as well. I am not sure if this is possible but it is worth looking into as we are in no hurry to make a decision for sometime.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
