Thanks suzitiger! :D I'm currently still debating on wether or not to go for cream or for white? I have finally decided on my dress at last, it's ivory, so I'm thinking more the cream, as the white probably won't be as good a match.

My MIL to be is the same, she was like "you're joking right?" She should know me by now, as much as I love my handbags and make up, I'm not really what I would consider a girly girl either.

    When do you get married?

I get married next May, what about you?
I also have an ivory dress, was thinking cream, sparkly or pink converse. Are you on pintrest? Yiu should have a look at some cute MSE friendly ideas on there :D
White may clash with the dress you have so maybe go all out clash with red  or go for cream :)
    Don't turn a slip up into a give up:D

It sounds cool, I've got a pair of girly shoes for the ceremy, but have also got some cream nike trainers to change into as soon as possible. I've got some little flowers that are used for card decorations, going to add them. More excited about the trainers than the wedding shoes :D
    :)
  • Before I found my shoes, I considered this, and got in touch with this lady - http://canvaswarriors.co.uk/Custom_Converse_Chucks.html - she was lovely and did some amazing hand-painted designs. Not sure what your budget is, but hope that helps.

I wore converse with my dress. They matched the colour of my petticoat! My mum wasn't too impressed and his family have told me they thought it was strange but who cares! They were comfy, looked good and I'd do it all again.

    24th June....this year!

I think I've settled on cream :) They have ribbon laces that you can customise, so I'm getting "Mrs McCumiskey" on them, in either pink or red text.

They sound cool! I love my Nike trainers that I customised myself (for day to day wear), with the Nike ID website!

My Mam is the one who stresses more and my Dad the laid back one, but regards the trainers, it's the opposite way round, my Mam is like whatever, and my Dad is the one who isn't happy about it! I might buy a cheap pair of wedges for the ceremony and then like you, change into the converse afterwards....we'll see! :rotfl:

Bit too late to order off there now, but it's something to keep in mind though, as they look amazing! :D

That sounds awesome! :D What colour was your petticoat?

Was your dress like a 50's style short dress?

I'm thinking of going with a Vivienne of Holloway dress.
