Transfer Cash ISA from AA to Santander - NIGHTMARE!!!!

Hi I need some advice please,
I am trying to transfer a cash ISA from The AA (the bonus period has expired) to Santander.
I downloaded the Cash ISA transfer form from Santander, filled it out and posted it, now 2 months later nothing has happened. I have called Santander and they said they submitted the request to BARCLAYS, I have also called The AA and they are saying that Santander should be coming direct to The AA and not Barclays and The AA haven't received any request from Santander.
The confusion I believe is on the Santander ISA transfer form, there is a drop down and there isn't any reference to AA or The AA. The sort-code and account that I found on The AA site points to Barclays Bank. I can't seem to find anywhere any information on The AA savings website to say provide xxxx and xxxxxx etc, I think the only thing I have is my account number (10 digits).
I have received a letter from Santander today saying that Barclays have told them the account number I've provided isn't with them, but when I called The AA (their ISA team) they couldn't tell me what sort-code account number to use, just to provide Santander with the 10 digit account number (but Santander also want the sort-code and account number).
So I am now trying to redo the Cash ISA transfer form - http://www.santander.co.uk/csgs/Satellite?appID=abbey.internet.Abbeycom&c=DocumentoGS&canal=CABBEYCOM&cid=1358034751751&empr=Abbeycom&leng=en_GB&pagename=Abbeycom%2FDocumentoGS%2FDocumentoGSPreview
and to repost it and get this ISA transferred (already wasted 2 months of the tax year)
Does anyone have any experience transferring FROM The AA? Are the AA using a Barclays ISA? If they are then why can't Barclays help (instead of just saying, it's not one of our accounts)
any assistance will be very much appreciated
thanks

Barclays dont have anything to do with AA finance Birmingham midshires are the deposit takers a division of Bank of Scotland plc.
I would speak to Santander tell them what account information you have I.E name and address of current providers and account number and see if that is sufficient it certainly used to be on the previous forms see link below.

Why dont you ring below and ask for the sort code and account number.
For enquiries
call our AA Savings team

thanks for the reply Helptoyou, I did call the AA savings team at lunchtime (they weren't very helpful) but I will retry them later and get the sort-code and account number off them
I think where I got muddled is I found a sort-code and account on The AA site for 'incoming' ISA transfers, and that sort-code mentioned Barclays in Google
Birmingham Midshires is listed on the Santander Transfer
thank you again0 -
You should have put AA on the form and your 10 digit account number only. You don't need to put an account number and sort code if its not applicable.0

The form has a drop down which you have to select before it'll let you print. I've selected BIRMINGHAM MIDSHIRES and included my 10 digit existing ISA roll number, leaving the sort-code and account number blank.
thanks for replying though0 -
I just found the form on the Santander site and the first option on the drop down is AA Savings which is what you should choose. I did a transfer last year from AA to Santander and it worked okay for me. I did phone AA to ask about the sort code and they told me just to leave it blank.0

Is this real?0

As stated by another poster the first option in the dropdown is AA Savings which is obviously the one to use
AA Savings is run by Birmingham Midshires who do use Barclays as their clearing bank hence the original confusion.0 -
I had no problem transferring from the AA. Mind you I transferred to a proper bank, Lloyds TSB who could handle 10 digit reference numbers.0

Is it really santanders fault if a customer puts an account number and sort code of another bank?
Even lloyds would struggle to get an ISA from AA if the customer has put a Barclays account number and sort code with the bank name Birmingham midshires!!0 -

I filled the initial form incorrectly so I take the blame for that, but the the ISA transfer form which Santander emailed me when I opened the CASH ISA didn't list 'AA Savings' at all
I've just looked on their site and downloaded what looks like an updated version of their CASH ISA transfer form, and low and behold there is now 'AA Savings' listed on the drop down.
I've found the original email (dated 28th march) and again checked the attached CASH ISA transfer form and definitely no 'AA Savings' in the selection box.
I guess if they had sent me the newer form originally I would have seen 'AA Savings' and picked that, what has actually happened is that I have submitted a form last week using the 'BIRMINGHAM MIDSHIRES' name (which was on the form) but I have also wrote (AA CASH ISA) and the 10 digit roll number, hopefully that is ok, but I will call their team tomorrow to double check. If it is still a problem then least I know there is an updated form which does list 'AA Savings' and I'll give it a 3rd attempt.
So first attempt I'll definitely take some blame (I got confused finding Barclays sort code/account number on the AA web site), but as I've mentioned above, the form Santander sent me to fill out was not as up to date as I had imagined.
Looking at both the old and new form though I can't seem to locate any version numbers, but it is something I will mention to Santander when I call them.0
