Google Nexus 4 v LG Optimus 4X

Does anyone know if these handsets are actually the same as eachother?

Nearly but not quite the nexus 4 is still slightly superior, I don't know what the price differences are though.

In what way would you say that the Nexus is "superior"?

You can buy the Nexus 4 from Google Play For under £300. GSM arena will give you a good comparison but as above, you're getting a lot of smartphone for a very cheap price.

I was actually doing the same compaRISON. Technically the nexus 4 is the better phone, for example it has a higher screen the only drawbacks being lack of add on storage a non replaceable battery, and a non standard sim card. The Nexus 4 is actually a different version of the LG Optimus G which is not sold in the UK by networks. But as said before the Nexus 4 is remarkably cheap as a sim free purchase so represents better value. If you google the phase you used for this post you will get more comparisons. But the 4x hd is still a great phone and the smaller mobile companies are offering some some great deals on it at the moment

You mentioned "non standard SIM" for the Nexus 4. Do you mean that it needs a Microsim?

As far as I know the Nexus 4 uses a micro sim, all the reviews say this, the 4x hd uses a normal large Sim. As I said before the LG is still a good phone, arguably as good as the Samsung S3 for example

I had two nexus 4's, both had random reboot issues and they get EXTREMELY hot if you want to do anything remotely taxing (Ie: Playing Games or watching videos for quite a while).

It's a decent enough handset but has its flaws, even though the price point is good.

Oh... and if you try return something to google play expect a HUGE faff (Exchanges are quick and pain free though)
