Right. The thread's village idiot speaking.
I've been following this thread through its last twenty incarnations or regenerations and I've only just twigged that lots of posters are on the same diet (this 5:2 business).

I could lose a few pounds.
Any sites info sources advice you can steer me to?

The Elite are only just embarking on the diet, most of us are starting on monday/tuesday as our first fast day. Some peeps have already been doing it with success.

Funky will fill you in on the detail and QoC is in charge of the list. :)

Good evening all from a sunny North West.

Went shopping in Sada today in a planned shop against MrT.
Foe some strange reason the three cereals I bought came back as NA even though they are om MSM as 3 for 2 in MrT.
Decided to return items, knowing they would refund on giftcard as the total bill of 23 pound was paid with APGs.
CS lady told me that they cashier should not have let me use this amount of APGs on this shop, I asked why and she told me they could only be used for upto a third of the shopping total bill.
Never heard of this before, anybody else heard of this?

Hi - just going through - randomly - the rest of the thread in the last 24hrs and just seen this.

Regarding APG being used only for a third of the bill, this seems another unwritten 'rule' made up on the spot. I've never heard of it, it's certainly incorrect and seems to be something the CS person has made up. (If it had affected you, i.e. the original cashier had refused to take the vouchers on this basis, I would have gone to HQ about this!) What you report the CS said to you rather fits in with one of my previous posts (can't find it now) where I said something like, I suggested I found it somewhat hard to understand why people, who are supposed to be doing a job, make things up that aren't the company's policy. If we're doing things properly, following the T&Cs, knowing the rules (which we often know better than the staff!) and following them, we should never get any trouting. (If the CS person didn't know what the postition was, why not just honestly say "I don't know"? And then, if necessary, find out for the customer what the correct position is. Rather than making some untruth up and telling the customer that.) Yet trouting still exists. I can't understand why CS people do this, or what they get out of it - is it some sort of perverse satisfaction out of denying the customer, and denying them wrongly? Ie denying them on a wrong basis, a basis that in truth does not apply (or even exist, as in this case).

3 for 2s at rivals now come back N/A on the APG. This was the 'fix' made after the big glitch (shampoo, Ambrosia etc.) from Septembery-time last year.

Must be something to do with 2nd child syndrome. DD2 has been bouncing off the walls, give me strength a hyper 20 year old.

She admitted when we went out for meal earlier that she has to "hold it all in" at uni. At least she can be herself at home. ;)

    Night Elliemoo. :)

Not totally mse but just signed up to another comping website.
Will keep me from snacking and hopefully win something useful.
Used to be big into competitions about 20 years ago and be nice to get back into slogan writing and 'effort' comps.
    Never know might win big.

Been spurred on by watching Extreme Sweepstakes on telly.
Had a few decent wins in the old days but never a car or holiday.
Got 2nd prize in a national comp when first was a car but friend won a car once from Daily Mail.
Thinking big but be thrilled with any wins especially toys for the grandchildren.
And I will start making a note of all the freebies that come through the post.
Not sure what my last win was either the love to shop vouchers from chicken tonight or the lush Martini and prosecco. Both facebook competitions.
