    Thank you:D

I am so positive this will help us all! We should have made this group so much earlier, the way we support each other. We would have all been skinny by now:rotfl:

    Afternoon all !

Finally got round to to sorting out all of last months wombles. An amazingly good month, one that will probably never be repeated. Just have to figure out how to spend them now.
Keep checking the multi-buys, but nothing showing. Could do with some good non-perishable or wine glitches, it seems to have gone v quiet :D

£289.57 wombles, £15.35 c/b, £10 Love To shop Voucher, 3m OF silver wrapping paper and 12 x tins of Pedigree Chum.....fussy cat won't touch it :rotfl:

Trying to achieve £5 per day average in wombles. So far so good this month :)

    I wasn't far out then when I said £300:D

Oh Logie, sorry to hear that...and how on earth did they manage to give you duff information over the phone :mad:

I wish I could give you practical rather than virtual support, and I will keep everthing crossed that the radiotherapy does its job

Like you say you will figure it out, will you be able to get help from homestart/crossroads/financial assistance for childcare/transport costs?

Keep your pecker up, you'll get through this :A

Mildred and Dr V put it so well, fingers crossed for you logie ((hugs))

Does anyone know where I can get fresh WHITEBAIT from? Gordon Ramsay did a recipe today and it was very nice indeed. I know I could try a fishmonger in a supermarket but WHITEBAIT does seem a specialist fish.

Also, at ex Netto Sada's I saw a whole heap of FROZEN SAUSAGE / BURGER / PORKY things (didn't pay much attention as I do not eat meat) on RTC. So do have a look if you are next in. There were shed loads of DOLMIO / LLOYD GROSSMAN and various other cooking sauces down to 25p or 50p.
Hi Mimi1234, I am told by Morrisons that they can "get any fish you want, if you give them 48 hours notice" so whitebait should not be a problem! You may well find that all the supermarkets with a "proper fish counter" can do this - I don't know. I do know that M's fishmonger was quite proud that they could get any fish to order though. I was only after about 750g of some large squid, so quantity did not have to be huge.
I am not young enough to know everything.

    Morning all

Hoping for a better day today. Yesterday was truly awful :(

Hospital appt did not go at all as expected. I had been told I was going there to discuss pros/cons of radiotherapy now that cancer was not active but the lump was still there.

They disagreed entirely with what I was told on the phone about my scan results. Apparently there was still 'uptake' in the area of the tumour and so we cannot say it is inactive  They also disagreed that there was any debate as to whether I have radiotherapy. So got planning scan tomorrow and will likely start in a couple of weeks. Will be a logistical nightmare as every day for 3 weeks and only done in Cambridge. Will have to figure it out though....

Congrats to Bananababe on the house and Tiger on passing the Spanish exam

I only just catching up today. ((( Hugs ))) to you honey, my MIL had RT after her tumour was removed over 4 years ago and it was successful. I am sure friends and family will rally and make it as easy as possible for you to attend the sessions - let them. You need to put yourself first for just a little longer.

    God love you xxxx

Thanks ER, you are a love. :A

If anyone wants to learn some super quick recipes that are also healthy, check out Gordon's new show which is on Channel 4 every lunchtime, or on Channel 4 webplayer or whatever it is called at any other time. Some of the recipes are top notch.
