    Morning all

Hoping for a better day today. Yesterday was truly awful :(

Hospital appt did not go at all as expected. I had been told I was going there to discuss pros/cons of radiotherapy now that cancer was not active but the lump was still there.

They disagreed entirely with what I was told on the phone about my scan results. Apparently there was still 'uptake' in the area of the tumour and so we cannot say it is inactive  They also disagreed that there was any debate as to whether I have radiotherapy. So got planning scan tomorrow and will likely start in a couple of weeks. Will be a logistical nightmare as every day for 3 weeks and only done in Cambridge. Will have to figure it out though....

Congrats to Bananababe on the house and Tiger on passing the Spanish exam

Sorry your appointment didnt go as expected Logie :( Don't know what else to say. It's going to be a rough few weeks for you with all the worry and travelling. You know where we are if you need to have a moan :A

Thanks guys, have already left a message for the nurse who gave me the results to phone me. Can't get my head around it. Have told everybody that i'm clear only to then be told different.

I should be able to drive myself there and back and have requested afternoon appts so that my sister can have the boys. It's weekdays only, so 15 sessions.
Fingers crossed they can accommodate my requests otherwise childcare will be an issue. Especially as my Mum has booked herself a weeks holiday expecting that I would have finished treatment.
Don't think i'll qualify for any financial help as I'm on full sick pay at the moment.
♥ Worrying does not empty tomorrow of it's troubles.... it empties today of it's strength ♥

So sorry they're messing you around logie, sounds like two different interpretations of the scan to me.

Mind you, you have felt so good since the phone call, it may well have done you good in itself, silver lining & all that.

My son went on Sunday (he reviews film for his job) and he said as it was a Sunday lots of the reviewers took their kids. He said it was fine but some of them were about 2 or 3 and were a bit scared. He said the film is fab though.
Just de activated my Facebook as after all that with the Rate A group I decided I would not bother with Facebook again
Thanks for this, Rose. My little one is 5 so we should be OK! :) My DD2 deleted her FB - she was sick of the drain on her life whilst studying and the arguments.

Angelsmad would have had a field day in my job today. I've spent all day today and a large part of yesterday proof reading work which had been outsourced for typing. I am :eek::eek: at the things I've been having to correct

These people are paid a reasonable fee for their work. At the very least, they could put commas in the right places!

I guess that's why they come to you for the correction. I also post on a grammar forum (that also has some jovial debates) and I am by far the worst / least educated on there in terms of English Language. I joined it whilst composing my PhD thesis. It was at that point I decided I no longer wished to be ignorant to my failings. :)
