    Morning all

Hoping for a better day today. Yesterday was truly awful :(

Hospital appt did not go at all as expected. I had been told I was going there to discuss pros/cons of radiotherapy now that cancer was not active but the lump was still there.

They disagreed entirely with what I was told on the phone about my scan results. Apparently there was still 'uptake' in the area of the tumour and so we cannot say it is inactive  They also disagreed that there was any debate as to whether I have radiotherapy. So got planning scan tomorrow and will likely start in a couple of weeks. Will be a logistical nightmare as every day for 3 weeks and only done in Cambridge. Will have to figure it out though....

Congrats to Bananababe on the house and Tiger on passing the Spanish exam

Dear logie, I just popped on quickly to post something and saw your post. It must all be very unsettling for you when they tell you different things, I am sorry. :A. Is it 7 days a week or just Monday to Friday? Do you have anyone near Cambridge that you can stay with ?
    Hope is not a strategy.

Oh Logie, sorry to hear that...and how on earth did they manage to give you duff information over the phone :mad:

I wish I could give you practical rather than virtual support, and I will keep everthing crossed that the radiotherapy does its job

Like you say you will figure it out, will you be able to get help from homestart/crossroads/financial assistance for childcare/transport costs?

Keep your pecker up, you'll get through this :A

Good Morning everyone. Well it was a long day travelling yesterday. I started out at 7.30 am and got in the house at 8 pm. It's surprising how just sitting there ( apart from 4 hours in Glasgow walking round ) can make you tired lol.

I spent the grand total of about £11 there David:D . that was just over £4 for my dinner which was a child's KFC meal lol , they are always enough for me of chicken nuggets, chips, ice cream and a milkshake. A pair of sandals, two new books and two Danish pastries, the second I ve just had for my breakfast . So not bad at all.

The best moneysaving of all would have been for me not to go but I enjoyed it and would do it again.:D

Just popped on to say, for anyone with a conditional spend at S, the Wella shockwaves hair range are 2 for £4.50 at S and BOGOF for £2.54 at T and comparing. Should work till the 18th.
    Hope is not a strategy.

Good morning everyone, wasnt on yesterday, RL catching up with me. Having a nightmare morning, been on the phone to BT since 8am, my bt netprotect plus has been cancelled, I changed my broadband to unlimited and they said this was included, now they are telling me it going to cost £3.49 a month extra, not happy, and been cut off twice, as being put through to different people.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
