What's this with the vinegar thing. Why do you have to boil it first? For the last few years, Ive been using pickling vinegar with good results but I suppose asda vinegar is a lot cheaper. I put it in a washing up bottle with a bit of washing up liquid. The wul is suppose to help the vinegar stick to the greenery instead of going straight in the soil.
Is the vinegar thing to kill bugs or weeds? Just wanted to make sure before I kill everything :cool:0 -

Morning/afternoon. Just back from Mr T's. Didn't see the surf 28 washes in the fragrance posted here which was a shame. Might look at another T's later. BUT I did pick up two packs of Maltesers bunnies destined for an overpriced 'discount' label on a random trolley. I only had 2p in my purse anyway so I think it was fate

pattylabelle wrote: »davemorton - I am going to do your vinegar thing with the weeds tonight. I am going to boil the vinegar outside because of the smell:eek::eek: I am then going to put it into a watering can with sprinkler.
I wonder if I could add a bit of water to it to make it go further. I have four bottles of the gear from Asda at 48p each. I have quite a large area;)Thrifty_Sister wrote: »Is the vinegar thing to kill bugs or weeds? Just wanted to make sure before I kill everything :cool:queen_of_cheap wrote: »Weeds I believe
Patty, it works better if you disolve salt into it. Add a pack of SP salt that you bought as a fillerI have never watered it down, so cant answer that. Dont see why not though, especially if you add lots of salt.

I know that vinegar alone doesn't work  so I'm interested to find out what I should be mixing it withI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards.
