Nationwide FlexAccount??

Hi,

I have just opened a FlexAccount with Nationwide, they have sent me 2 cheque books, but no paying in books.

Is this normal?

Thanks.

You don't need a paying in book - you simply give them your bank card with the amount you are paying in.

Can I pay cheques in to my Village Post Office via this method?

You cannot pay money into Nationwide accounts at Post Office branches - only withdrawal of cash.

The only accounts you can pay into at a PO are:
    Alliance & Leicester
    Bank of Ireland
Barclays (England and Wales Post Offices only)
    Cahoot
    Clydesdale Bank
    Co-Op Bank
Lloyds TSB (England, Wales and Scotland Post Offices only)

  • Id probably open up a smile a/c if you need to pay in at the PO

    Thanks.

I do actually have a Cahoot Account, so I can use that, it just seems strange that I can withdraw money from the Post Office, but not pay it in to my NW Account.

Obviously they are not over keen for me to put money in to their account.:rotfl:

You can post cheques to them, there's a cheque paying-in form available on the Internet Banking site... I've used this several times, and it works very well.
