eh ???
Great so i have to pay up straight away then wait over a week to get my item !!

(although it still bugs me, this particular seller sent me email to say its just been posted so they are in fact now a super efficient seller

oh dear! I'm one of those people! I write that i post out on sat and mons only usually; it's cos i have a job and can't always get to the post office. I also say that i need to wait until cheque clears. I don't always do either of these. ie small items in jiffy bags often go immediately, so quick that i posted one by accident yesterday before the person had paid which was a bit stupid of me. My pet hate is people leaving neg or neutral feedback withtout contacting you first to let you know what they're unhappy about so that you can try and sort it out/made amends etc and people who paid for surface mail postage and then send you complaining emails from timbuktu after a week asking why they haven't got it - despite the fact that i make it clear how long surface mail takes! I'm sure there are more, but that will do for now. Good question. j xAiming to take control of my life:A

if you want any help, i speak spanish (write it too) - even swear words! seriously though, i can translate if you let me know what you want to say. j xMy pet hate...overseas buyers who don't understand that Britain isn't the US or Europe. I've had US buyers ask me what this sterling stuff is the invoice mentions as they want to pay the same amount in dollars ..I've even had one argue that they wouldn't pay overseas rates for shipping as 'they' were American and therefore not overseas (that was for an item sold on ebay.uk).
The Europeans tend to be better, I do sometimes get asked to convert to Euros (no) but mainly they pay by paypal as my auction requires and that's that. I've got one at the moment though likely to be a problem. I only accept paypal for overseas buyers and I got an email from a Spanish registered buyer saying she was sending a cheque. I thought I would check, as there was a chance she had a UK address but she can't understand my messages and when she does respond she just says 'have sent money order' or sometimes she says 'have sent chik'..I asked whether she was sending it in sterling as I won't accept anythig I can't pay in normally and she just repeats she has sent a 'chik'. Obviously there is a chance that she does have a UK cheque book in Spain ..but I fear this is going to end badly. I'm going to try and find a Spanish speaker today to see if I can send her a message in her own language.Aiming to take control of my life:A

ooh yes, i've got a very similar one to that - 'I just missed the auction end, will you re-list it?' then i re-list it and they or no-one else bids for it! grrrrrrrAiming to take control of my life:A

There's so many!!
From a selling point of view:
People sending card funded PayPal transactions when my listings clearly state I cannot accept them. Meaning I had to upgrade my account to accept and now have to pay for anything I recei(ie? - brain lapse)ve! Soon mounts up.
Buyers who email a few days after the auction end asking for the parcel to be sent elsewhere - why didn't you tell me this when you paid for the item?? It's already packed and labelled and usually gone.
Buyers who leave stupid feedback, yes you've left a positive - thank you, i appreciate you liked my service, but is "Fab ebay A++++++++!!!!!!!!!!!" really going to help future customers? Why not mention the quality of the item? The speed of delivery? The bargain you got?
From a buying point of view:
Being hassled for feedback!
Sellers not answering your questions.
Sellers being extremely difficult!!
Sellers listing something, you think perfect I've been looking for this in for ages. The auction ends, you pay straight away. Then they email with "Oh, by the way the item isn't the same colour..." "I can't post this for a week..." - And you didn't put this in your auction because....?
[Rant] One purchase really stands out: I recently purchased a double buggy, and called the seller to pay by card as requested as soon as the auction ended. Had more than enough cleared funds in my account to pay for the item. The next day they messaged me saying my card had declined. I thought that's weird so checked my online banking - they'd taken the money within minutes of me calling through with payment information. I emailed them back asking what had happened and I received no reply. The next day the item arrived but I was working so could not collect it. I called the courier company to ask if they could re-deliver or deliver to my work (it's on the same estate as the company and they collect from our warehouse daily anyway!) they said they had no problem but would need to contact the seller to confirm it. Twenty minutes later they called back saying the seller had disagreed to this and I would need to be at home to collect it. I wasn't going to take time off to wait in for the courier, and I don't drive so collecting from the depot wasn't an option. I emailed them asking them to reconsider - My paypal is verified and all that palava so they knew my address was my own. I could even have ID on me when the courier delivered to my work. (The item was purchased as a work present to a member of staff who was about to go on maternity leave so having at work would have been really helpful) I finally managed to collect it by paying for a taxi to the depot. I emailed the seller saying I wasn't happy with the service, and asking for a response to the issue of my card "declining" but they replied with "please leave feedback and we will do the same for you" to which I replied if my questions are answered I'll happily leave feedback. Since then I've been receiving messages and emails on a regular basis asking for feedback and have still received no answer to my questions. Sellers like that really annoy me. [/Rant]
Aaaaargh!

Mine is when they don't ask the questions until they have won, then say "I am not sure if I want it now". I have just sold some vouchers which went for half their value once p&p had been added and the buyer has told me they are not worth 50% of their value and they don't want them any more........errr..........if the item would usually cost £1.40 and with the voucher they would only cost 70p how are they not worth the value ?? and if he can't do basic maths when bidding, maybe he shouldn't bid at all."Dogs come when they are called. Cats take a message and get back to you" :j :j0
