Samsung are quite expensive - If you look around you can find TFTs that contain the exact same Samsung panels inside

Johntea... Thanks. I've done loads of looking but if you have any suggestions for Samsung panels in other models they would be much appreciated. As mentioned I am paranoid about getting a monitor with dead pixels but have come to the conclusion it is definitely better to buy a monitor online as you get the 7 day distance selling rule "Under distance selling legislation, any opened products purchased via our web site or telephone are also subject to a 7-day exchange or refund." And much as I dislike Comet etc. presumably you can return to store for a full refund. As an example they have the LG L1915S for £189.99 delivered. No DVI intput but fom the reviews the quality doesn't seem to be affected.0
