Hi All,
I am looking at getting structural calcs done for removing a load bearing wall. I posted a job on mybuilder and two companies responded. both of them are asking for pics and floor plans.
Is it a normal practice to give RSJ Calcs without actually seeing the wall/property????
The property is a typical 1930s Semi

The Engineer we used would have charged us significantly less for the calculations if we had done the measurements ourselves and therefore not required a visit to the property - although like you say, this does seem odd but then again I have no idea how he came up with his figures!:j Growing Older is Mandatory, Growing Up is Optional :j0

Best forum for this question is the DIY forum http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=39
If you do post there, edit your opening post here to say you have repostedYou might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0
