Why would you need a court claim ?0 -

What was the price on the website then ?
The T&C's are on the site for all to see , no need to take a screenshot .0 -
The price when you placed the order was £0.00, I think that's mentioned in this thread a number of times now.
And I've taken screenshots of each stage in the order process & their T&C's.0 -

Post up a screenshot of the page showing me the price advertised then , before you add it to your basket .
I'll tell you now , if this went to court the judge would throw it out because no price was offered for sale in the first place by the seller . No price means it has no basis in contract because technically it wasn't for sale . For a contract to exist a price for goods must be offered , the buyer then offers to buy at that price , the seller agrees to sell at that price , the contract is set . The system is flawed , shall we say , by the fact that it defaults to £0.00 at checkout because no price is indexed in the database .0 -
I always suspected it, but now I know for sure that there's loads of pseudo-!!!!!! sitting on the sidelines just waiting for offers like this.
Here's the drill...
1. A website price mistake gets posted on MSE.
2. A Tsunami of posting frenzy ensues (this'll be the closet pseudo-!!!!!!, who are likely just middle class housewives with too much time on their hands)
3. Said website realizes error & informs pseudo-!!!!!!.
4. Much annoyance amongt pseudo-p1key fraternity....armchair lawyers drop their Cheesy Wotsits & Carlsberg Special Brew then go into overdrive (maybe this is why they need a free hoover - to clean up the mess?)
5. Mosty give up & move onto the next pikeye-sque website error.
6. Some dig in their heels & whine "But I'm on benefits & I really needed a vacuum for nothing"
7. Thread fades away to nothing.
8. Next website mistake occurs, return to step 2.0 -

can you do a flow chart :-)2007 £1749
2008 £291.99
2009 JanMasscara £7.00 Feb megcabot books x 2 £20 XFactor tkts x 2 £58.00 (couldn't go though as they only phoned on day :-( ) foundation £7.99
total so far for 09 £92.990 -
I ordered two of these.
Im sure they are going to try and ring up and say they are out of stock.
Considering they are bissell themselves and not just a retailer of bissell products - then Im sure the hoover will at some point come back in stock. If they are selling the hoover now on their website for full price, then they must have some in stock....
The price was £0.00 - There conditions say the price you pay is the price on ordering - I printed out the order at £0 - so they are legally obliged to sell me the items at that price unless they run out of stock (which they clearly havent if they are full price now).
I think they will be speaking to their lawyers before getting back to anyone who has put an order through..... Ill let you know as soon as I hear anything....
Good Luck Everyone

Both you & I know there was no price displayed against the vacuum. There was just an empty space. But when you ordered it £0.00 was the price they were charging. If it "technically" wasn't for sale why were they advertising it, taking orders for it, checking their database to see if there was stock available then checking everyones card details ?
No word incidentally from the company. I might just give them a ring and see what their position is.0
