Y R U asking, Attila?
I'd be so tempted to text that in reply.
'Hon' - short for 'honey' - is bad enough. 'Hun'?

I dont mind texting tbh, I keep in touch with people I dont see enough by phone, but unless I am texting to ask something or for a specific reason or someone has texted me to ask me to meet up for example, I dont spend all day glued to my phone.
Plus I use it for my business, its the number people contact me on.
To be honest, if youve been used to exchanging all these texts with someone, why not just stop it and dont bother about it.
You dont need a running commentary on every single thing someone is doing every day. You dont need to have your phone in your hand all day or even near you, sometimes I'll charge my phone and if I miss a text and respond to it later its no big deal.
Id just be honest and say you are moving phone packages and you wont be able to text anyone as much and if they want to meet up etc phone you or if something is urgent you'll respond but you cant be texting 20 or 30 times a day
And if someone takes the hump over that, too bad really, you wont be this persons only sounding board I would bet.0 -

Just a wee update - I switched to my new contract - now £7.50 a month as opposed to £27.00, I'm happy with it for the time being....
Unfortunately - I think as predicted my friend has taken umbrage.
I explained I was switching to a much reduced package, so wouldn't be texting nearly as much, but she just didn't get it.
Then I was virtually stalked on f/b.....with all the same moans and groans of old.
I just couldn't take it any longer, and told her I was putting technology on the back burner for a while, needless to say it didn't go down at all well, everything is my fault - including her noisy neighbours, but I'm sick of her constant moaning texts - ohh well someone else will have to listen I'm done, the peace by the way is wonderful
Don't try to keep up with the Joneses - Drag them down to your level - it's cheaper .

Well done for (1) sticking to your guns and (2) getting your tariff reduced so much!
Enjoy the silence
