Tell them to try it in another player, sounds like the laser can't read the disc so either they've covered it in fingerprints or more likely have a 20 quid player from the supermarket which is a load of rubbish. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0

I've replied and offered a refund upon the return of the item. I don't think I can do anything else. As Irn-Blu says A-Z seems to find in favour of the buyer in almost every circumstance. At least this way I get the item back and can try and recoup my losses.
I'm not that bothered about bad feedback tbh - I'm not running a business. I usually only sell some specialised academic books to raise money for things like birthday and Christmas presents. As my items can be difficult to get hold of then my prices, speed of postage and quality of product mean that most of my target audience will come regardless of feedback. I've only sold DVDs a couple of times and had no problems but guess I'm just unlucky on this occasion.0 -
Chances are they've watched the DVDs so want don't want them anymore.0

Well the item has been returned. I've tried the discs on two different DVDs players and they play fine. I'm going to refund as the item has been returned. Unfortunately the state in which the item has been returned means it will be difficult to resell. All the cardboard packaging has been scratched; all the dvd holders have been broken so they no longer old the dvds; all the dvds are scratched.
So it looks like a product in perfect condition is now unsellable and I am out of pocket.0 -

That's not right, I'd complain to amazon that the returned product has been destroyed.0 -
if you have the item back and dont care about the feedback then i would complain to Amazon - you dont really have anything to lose now.0

Do a partial refund noting the reason that goods were returned in bad condition, take photo for evidence.0 -
Was the DVD returned by a trackable service? If not...0

The item was delivered by recorded delivery. I wouldn't say I didn't receive it - and that's the issue - I'm an honest seller which is why being accused of selling counterfeit goods is a bit of a kick in the teeth.
And I do have something to lose - my integrity.0
