If she is a college student and is 18, and only gets £7 week pocket money, then no wonder she applied for it!!

If she is a college student and is 18 she should have a part time/Saturday/holiday job and not be relying on handouts/pocket money!

From her other posts, it seems the OP pays for all activities and everything else, so £7 "free money" doesn't seem so bad.

OP I reckon its identity theft as been suggested and dont go and give the call operator an ear full as they aren't meant to know your daughter is young.

OP refers to teenagers, "college girls" and preparation for uni in other posts. ;)

Problem solved then. The daughter applied for the card. OP's 'tongue lashing' needs to be aimed at kid, not Barclays.

I normally get a "apply for barclaycard" letter every month or so, all with various credit limits and interest rates.

All end up into the fire.

My daughter received a Barclaycard today with £2500 credit. She has £7 weekly pocket money plus birthday and Christmas money. She has not asked for this card. There is no way she could repay £2500.
Barclaycard will be getting a tounge lashing from me in the morning.

Excellent idea, give someone who didn't have anything to do with the actual sending of the card a headache just to feel better.

Or you know, you could just opt not to be a massive tool, and explain they've made a mistake.
