Thankfully, most people needing advice on claiming benefits won't have the same mindset as Willber (or whoever he is today) They will be genuine, honest people who have no interest in claiming benefits to avoid work.

What Willber offers isn't advice, it's just bragging to wind people up. I sincerely hope someone looks into his case in more detail and sees what he's up to.

A bit like this username. ;)

Fact is that those figures are pretty representative of a couple without private pension provision. It shows why oap and disability benefits need looked at. It can't be right that a couple can get that much in benefits, when people who are paying those taxes have far less.

He isn't "bragging", he's lying, to stir up (even more) prejudice against benefits and claimants. Someone who was bragging wouldn't say he wanted a Motability car because 20% of the people on his council estate have one (he said that under another name, I imagine; I couldn't be bothered to check).

Of course stirring up prejudice against claimants here is like bringing coals to Newcastle, but then, Andy may not be all that rational. And in the benefits-bashing game, I suppose, every little helps.

But certainly he should be investigated.

Not suggesting anything, just simply stating that I don't understand. Isn't carers allowance given when you care for your OH or family member? So just puzzled as to how you can both care for each other when you are both so "disabled and sick"?

You'd be very suprised at how many posts we get on here that do just that. I don't get it either, but for carers all you do to get that benefit and any passported benefits is tick a box saying you provide care over 35 hours. You see posts like my oh is my carer and is leaving me, do I get any extra money. (Not who will care for me) etc.

They don't need to prove care at all.

So why are you on this particular forum giving out advice regarding claiming benefits?

May I offer you some advice - stick to your day job and give up trying to be a Welfare Rights advisor. If you do want to understand how Carers Allowance works - then Google it and follow the links to the relevant legislation/case law & regulations.

Oooo touched a nerve did I? :rotfl:

Nope he posted it under 'willber'.... The guy/girl obviously has HUGE issues, maybe we should be offering tea and sympathy and directing him'her/it to the nearest counselling service ..?

Sickening isn't it? I feel so sorry for those genuine claimants who really deserve it yet don't get a penny, or have to fight to get what they deserve :(

I'm getting bored with the willber AE now. :( We've had posts about the brother, with an MA, who committed manslaughter, one SIL a solicitor, one an architect, willber's currently claiming DLA HRM, then planning to claim HRM, cos 20% of his estate claim and cars are expensive. And he could walk into jobs paying only slightly less than the PM tomorrow, should he so wish.;)

He hasn't worked for years/he gave up work in February - Andy never made glaring errors like that! Or admitted that some of his posts were fabricated. :D

In my first job, the office manager was a weedy little bully of a man, who enjoyed reducing new juniors to tears. After a few months, the juniors, myself included, realised what a nasty piece of work he was, and would just ignore him and his moods.

At the office party I met his wife. It was obvious that he used the office to throw his weight around, cos he was denied this luxury at home, and perhaps that's what people who invent things on the forums do.

I wish you well willber, but could Andy not do a Lazarus? ;)

    xx

Probably best not to 'bite' (so to speak) at his posts - maybe he/she would then get bored. ;)
