OK, time to be a little more honest seeing that you are the first to accept that the level of benefit income is more than possible.

    Wife - AA (HRC)
Self - DLA (MRC & HRM)

Wife - Carers Allowance for self (underlying entitlement only)
Self - Carers Allowance for wife (underlying entitlement only)

    Wife - State Retirement Pension
Self - Contribution Based ESA (SG) (only for the purposes of having underlying entitlement to Carers Allowance instead of it actually being paid)

    Self - Private pensions

Claimed Pension Credit - one over State Retirement Pension date the other not.

Given those facts I am sure that you will be able to work out the rest.

The end result gives a minimum income of £407.65pw (exclusive of DLA & AA)
    Plus 100% CTS - worth £31.84pw
    Plus AA £79.15pw
    DLA £108.25 pw

Which brings the total to £626.89pw equal to £44,500 pa.Gross

If working I would have to have a salary of £61,000pa before costs of £800 a month for running and owning a second car to match what we currently get. Hence a salary of up to £100,000pa would only make work worthwhile - increasing our income over what we get already by £1882 a month (£22584 a year) out of the £100,000 earned! Is it really worth the effort, hard work and stress to be better off by 22% of my gross salary?

I doubt many people would want to work for that level of income yet be only 22% better off out of it.

Our home is fully paid for.

I don't and won't apologise for what we get. The law says that we are legitimately entitled to it.

Willber you tell that many lies you forget what you have already posted.....you claim to have MRC & HRM??? On the disability forum you have posted you want to APPLY for DLA as you have a painful leg and want a nice new car like everyone else has were you live...
Jackonory was alot more interesting but not as much fun as watching you dig yourself deeper!

I have no doubt what you say is hypothetically correct. It's a pure shambles at best. If nothing else your posts (whatever AE) highlight the issues that need tackling.

Add to this HB and CTB it's far greater for some!

However, under this AE you'd need to factor in private pension for CC claimed at 60 or are you under this age?

No must be over 60...did'nt he claim to of had a No1 chart hit in the 1960's in his other life as bigboybrother?

I don't understand how both husband AND wife can have carers allowance? That's always puzzled me, because surely, you get that if you are caring for your OH, and how can you care for them when you "supposedly" need help to be cared for yourself? How can two people who need "help", care for each other? I'm probably missing something here, as I'm not clued up on these things at all, but I just can't see the logic in it?

Also, Willber, you go on about 'sick and disabled' people like you are one of them, when you've openly admitted you are playing the system....are you even starting to believe your own lies now then?

I think on that post he said he was 62 yet on other posts he says he will be 65 in June 2014.
Liars need to have good memories.
Hello, we did in 1968 just for 2 weeks. I'm 62 years young!

I don't work and have no intention of working again. I set a goal to retire at 60 which I did 4 years ago. Nearly 40 years of work and paying into the system was enough for me.

They do the same with Carers Allowance. I was working up until 28th Feb and whilst I was able to claim it for my wife back to May last year, there was no point as my income was over the limit.

Interesting, that in this post he's been retired less than 3 months!

I don't need to have a good memory. What I post always has some truth in it and some fabrication. You have to decide which is fact and which is fiction.

You are a card, aren't you!:rotfl: At least now you've admitted that there is some "fabrication" in your posts. More embroidery than the Bayeux Tapestry! Why not just tell us why you do it Andy?

Surprisingly, the DWP are quite happy with the evidence that we submitted and that that was obtained by them from our GP and other associated professionals to agree that we are both sick and disabled and have substantial care needs and mobility issues. Or are you suggesting that the awards were simply made on the strength of what we wrote on the application forms?

Not suggesting anything, just simply stating that I don't understand. Isn't carers allowance given when you care for your OH or family member? So just puzzled as to how you can both care for each other when you are both so "disabled and sick"?

So why are you on this particular forum giving out advice regarding claiming benefits?

May I offer you some advice - stick to your day job and give up trying to be a Welfare Rights advisor. If you do want to understand how Carers Allowance works - then Google it and follow the links to the relevant legislation/case law & regulations.

Why do you need to fabricate your stories on a forum giving out sdvice regarding claiming benefits?
Every thread you reply to you turns into me,me,me!

Thankfully, most people needing advice on claiming benefits won't have the same mindset as Willber (or whoever he is today) They will be genuine, honest people who have no interest in claiming benefits to avoid work.

What Willber offers isn't advice, it's just bragging to wind people up. I sincerely hope someone looks into his case in more detail and sees what he's up to.
