Help with popla appeal!?!

After receiving a parking charge notice from parking eye in April, and appealing to them denying I owed them this unjustified, excessive unlawful amount & that I had receipt/ bank statement showing I had shopped in the stores on that day, I have received a letter that my appeal was unsuccessful. Also received form to appeal to POPLA, can anyone advise best grounds for appeal/ evidence etc (don't know where to start )

    1. Start by getting the main store to tell PE to cancel the charge.

    2. Read the POPLA decisions sticky at the head of this forum for successful/unsuccessful appeals to get some idea of what works and what doesn't.

    3. Give us a few more facts as to why you got the ticket, how long you overstayed, where it was and, if by any chance you are pregnant, nursing mother, disabled or accompanied any person in those categories that day, coupon-mad will love you !!!
  • I hope u didn't show them your bank statement

Send me your email address by private message and I shall sort the appeal out for you with you directly

Thanks, no way did I send bank statements, i did say in appeal email to parking eye that I'd sent receipt (but then I couldn't find it so didn't bother).

I got parking charge for overstaying (apparently) by 45mins in free retail car park. I'm not pregnant/ disabled or other categories (but did have 2 terror toddlers with me that day, which did lengthen my stay ... Feeding/ toileting and tantrums!). I emailed Next who weren't helpful - just said that car park was adequately signed and they did not own land so had no say in how it was run ... Sufficed to say I won't be shopping there again!!
  • Well thts good, well wen I get your details ill send your appeal stuff to log with popla

I got a parking charge notice the other day is that the same as POPLA?

Should I try and appeal it too?

Is that the same as POPLA? What? NOPE. Why not just Google POPLA or read the forum?

  • :j just received email from popla that my appeal was allowed, as parking eye didn't provide sufficient evidence £100 was justified charge. Thanks for your advice on hear.

Please be sure to post the judgement on here when you get it. It looks like another estimate of costs win though. Oh, and who was adjudicator? Need to see if same one as last time or, hopefully, another.

    Thanks and we'll done.
  • Guys dad,

I have just done a popla appeal against one of my many cps midlands tickets and all i put in it was:

I dont believe this is a genuine pre estimate of loss, i put CPS Midlands to strict proof of these looses for breach CPS rules in this free car park.

    Think that will win,
