The comments back on this made me laugh! Really? Are most men so clueless that they couldn't tell the difference between a £50 and £100 shopping trip? Gosh, that makes me grateful for my man!0 -
Single post from a newbie, never back to answer questions, rather unusual issue. Trolltastic!"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

I don't think my OH would know whether milk cost 50p or £5. But it's not because he doesn't do any shopping; he simply never looks at prices or receipts."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

How does he keep to any budget then? Not judging, just very curious!0 -

I think my husband has a rough idea of what things cost these days, because we do occasionally shop together. However, I do know that you choose the "wrong" brands at the supermarket it is easy to spend £100 and come away with not a lot.0 -
Why dont you just go with her or failing that ask for the receipt?
Me and my hubby go shopping together and he pays on his debit card. Anything he thinks is a bit over the top doesnt get put in the trolley.:(This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Hmmmmm.
The OP posted this yesterday at 5:38 pm and last logged on this morning at 6:55 am.
I wonder why he didn't comment on the 30 replies he'd got by then or reply to any of the questions asked.
I think he should start with this one:barbarawright wrote: »Can't you just ask her? :huh:0 -

He doesn't. He gives me money by SO each month out of which I pay all the bills, do most of the food shopping, put a bit aside, etc. What he's got left is his to spend on whatever men spend money on. Poker and boy tampons probably. He checks his balance periodically through the month (one assumes) and buys something/doesn't buy something accordingly."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
My simple rule is if the op doesnt appear and respond (or even thank) within the first two pages of replies then they're probably a troll.MFW - <£90kAll other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!0
