I did this with my DS, she loved sitting on the counter in the kitchen while I prepared dinner. Then one day she grabbed the edge of the counter and pulled herself over, although I was stood right next to her I could not catch her in time. She landed head first onto our tiled floor.

She passed out and we took her to hospital, luckily just a big bump and bruise and concussion.

It made me run cold when I heard you say you do this. I bet there are loads of mums who do, my Bumbo was in the bin the next day.

Sorry to cause any alarm, but I would not want anyone else to go through what we did.

Thanks for that info, made my blood run cold, what an awful thing to happen - I am glad all ok though, makes me think twice about getting one now. I suppose I managed quite well with my son who is now 4 so before i know it she will be able to go into a walker etc.
    Thanks again

My Niece hates hers. The low seat is meant to anchor them in isn't it? their bottom is lower than their legs.

These came out after i had my DS and ive never quite seen the point of them to be honest! My DS was sitting by himself at 4 months without the aid of one of these so i wont be getting one for this new baby either.
