Have you tried ebay? Lots on there for around £20.00 including P & P. I also found kiddicare quite cheap. Have you tried your local newspaper/admag, carboot sales etc?0
-
car boot would be your best bet - most babies aren't in them for long so second hand wouldn't be a problem0
-
Why not just use some cushions or pillows they work!Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0

My sis got one from ebay, locally for £15 it was as new !
she is now selling it on
try local carboot sales,NCT sales, https://www.adtrader.co.uk https://www.preloved.co.uk and ebay0 -
are you sure you really need one? I have an 18 month old and 3 month old, I've never used one or even thought of getting one, I've just used a bouncy chair, my 18 month old never had any problems learning to sit up etc he's been walking since he was 1!
if you do decide you really do want to get one then try kiddicare (i think thats whats its called), boot sale, ebay, freecycle etc. and dont forget to use quidco or another cashback site if you can, that'll help towards it!0 -
Bouncy chair, circle of cushions.. I never had one, but i looks to me like the child is wedged and unable to move much, so surely this doesnt encourage them to try and sit unaided ?
If you are set on one though maybe try your local Freecycle."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." My hero, Mr Steer.0 -
they are not a must have IMO, but they are handy and an alternative to a bouncy chair / infant carrier
they are fab for early weaning0 -
Bumbos are marvellous! My DS absolutely adored his (hated his bouncy chair to the extent he would scream if we tried to put him in it!) but the Bumbo was fab....

oh we had a bumbo and only used it once. it was one of those things we thought we needed, but should have just waited for her to sit up by herself tbh. she didn't like it0

yeah i think its either something you, ( and baby!) either love or loathe
some people i know have bought them and ended up selling them, as only used a few times and didnt like them / baby wasnt comfy in it etc0
