bump.................0

OK, I understand your signature and that you don't like double posting.
I also understand that you think double posting of freebies clogs up the board.
However, you have just bumped nigh on every filetti thread to the top of the board.
Isn't that counter productive? That also clogs up the board, probably more than double posting, and causing new posts to drop down the board.
I guess I was just wondering if there was any particular reason for doing it?

Moderators still didn't merge it
I'm sure few of us would like to help sort it out, but we don't have a permission
As I said at the end of my previous post here, the Mods need our help to do these merges, and it ought to be easily done. I would suggest that you Report the duplicate thread, but change the subject header from, for example:Reporting post http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=xxxxxxx
to:Reporting threads to mergehttp://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=xxxxxxx
and then in the message just put "duplicate freebie threads to merge" and list the URLs of the copies.
I would have thought that if we all did that it would help sort out the clutter a great deal? That's more proactive than just bumping all the other similar threads, which just confuses and leaves the onus on the Mods to find them and sort them out.0 -
At the end of the day whats it really matter if a thred is repeated,if it's already on the first few pages then fair enough but if it's after that, whats it matter, i very rarely go past the first 3 pages and maybe miss some good offers etc,so if its repeated i will know of i have already looked at the subject listed and won't bother looking again.I see no point in posting that the subject, offer etc has already been posted as all i would be doing is adding junk to a posting that somebody may have missed and are grateful for the repeat listing0
