What would you do if you were me?

Due to a number of balls ups our original plan of paying off barclaycard in full this month has gone to pot thanks to a dodgy piece of ebay scum and me being a numpty and paying £117 off my husbands citi card instead of transferring it to the barclaycard fund.
I've worked out that by the end of may we'll have about £633 and we could do one of 3 things...
  • Pay it all off barclaycard and the remaining balance would be about £174
  • Pay it all off citi and the remaining balance would be about £595 including a minimum payment which is coming up
  • Split it between the 2.

The balances and APR's are....
Barclaycard 19.9% balance £807.12 limit £900
Citi 27.9% balance £1387.83 limit £1,500.

Come then oh wise ones? What would you do if you were me?

I'd pay it off the Citi card cos the interest rate so high.
  • IA - my gut would be to pay of the CITI card as the interest rate is huge

I think citi too, then next month you could probably look at almost clearing that one. That would give you a massive boost because you will have cleared the biggest one, barclaycard will seem easy after that. You're almost there IA, just keep going for a bit longer.

  • You've had a helluva day IA aint'cha...*

I have no experience on credit cards but as the citi is higher interest i would pay that off first, i realise why you were paying off barclays first as it would've been another debt done and dusted but with recent happenings i would go with citi.....hope you have a better day tomorrow!! ((hugs))

Like the others I would say clear the citi card as you must be paying a fortune in interest.

I know you wont get the thrill of paying off a card and closing the account but you could always work out how much you have saved in interest instead.

Not as small as the £174 that would be left on barclaycard which we could clear by end of june....

ok IA, toss a coin, heads citibank, tails barclays. If heads comes out and you are dissapointed you know what you really want to do.
