We have already been fleeced by shell or mighty deals (or both), and mse were conned by mighty deals to promote this offer despite all their previous poor history.
We have been fleeced because all we have done so far is help some company pay less overdraft charges as our cash is in their bank.
The sum involved is probably too small to take legal action over, but mighty deals have broken their conditions, and maybe mse could step in on our behalf.0 -
Just got a reply from Shell:
Thank you for your correspondence to the Shell Drivers’ Club.
Please be informed that your statement, relating to the Mighty Deals Promotion will be with you by the 13th of September with your vouchers. If you do not receive your vouchers till then, due to the delay in the post, please allow time by the end of September.
Do they really take us for idiots? What kind of "delay in the post" causes something sent for the 13th to reach customers by end of September.
I-LOV-MONEY do you work for or have a competing interest with MightDeals... it sure sounds like it.... how could I expect them to mail me my vouchers abroad when they cant even mail them within the UK for the last 3 months ! Your useless advice was neither asked for nor needed.0 -

The sum involved is too small for one person to put in a claim but we can prove that thousands of people have been robbed of their money. Even if we can get 200 people who are effected that translates to 2000 pounds and the con would be off 4000 pounds in fuel coz thats what they promised. Thats a big enough amount to make a claim and win.0 -

The mighty deals ts and cs state the offer is for uk drivers only.
Though they (the ts and cs) are as we know worthless! (they also state coupons will be sent to us 6 weeks from 30th June)0 -

No I do not work for Shell or Mighty Deals.
I am just trying to bring some sensible thoughts to this thread.
When you and others say "robbed" or "fleeced" it is only £10. Hardly life-changing money. So when the vouchers do eventually come you will go off to your local Shell garage and get £10 worth of petrol free. Does it really matter if it is today, next week or next month?
I agree we were promised a better service, but it is not the end of the world. I don't suppose you (or anyone else) will starve because of this.
If you are going abroad and will not be able to use them, why not ask a friend, neighbour, relative to buy them off you for £10? Have you asked Shell / MD if they will refund the money as you cannot use them now?
I don't know but I suspect MD are the innocent party in all this. They either approached Shell with the deal (after all Shell will increase their sales from people who don't normally fill up with their petrol), or maybe Shell approached MD with the marketing suggestion. Whichever way, MD don't have the power to produce vouchers, nor can they come round to your house with a tank of petrol !Thank you for reading this message.0 -
Amazon / eBay / etc offer goods for sale that aren't theirs. If the seller does not provide them by the given date they refund you immediately, simple as that, even though they're 'not to blame', simply to protect their own business and reputation. Why aren't MD offering this too I wonder ???Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
