They may not notice, they may notice and ignore it, or they may notice then decide to do something about being defrauded.
If this last scenario were to happen, would the people who think that it's a good idea be willing to pay the fine if the OP gets prosecuted?
If it were me, I'd take the risk. I think its unlikely that they would realise.0 -
I will admit that I would probably take the risk as well (especially on a low value item that is unlikely to be repaired), but I still don't think that it's a good idea to use a public forum to advise other people to do the same.0

Just a quick update - I phoned Argos and explained the situation. A very pleasant woman (who's probably heard the story several times before) told me to phone back Friday or Saturday to see if new stock has arrived and then they will replace it for me regardless of the new price.
Fingers crossed they'll get new stock in soon!!!0 -

Assuming it's legit, it seems that they ARE replacing the device, so you may not have to get a refund. But, we do wonder if it is a scam...If it rains, it rains.
We'll be in the street, looking thunder in the face,
Singing la la la la la,
I wont change0 -
I have contacted Nook over this email and it is because the shop on the device is in dollars instead of Pounds. I am currently dealing with Customer service to have a new one sent outSavvyStudentSaver wrote: »My mother (who I bought one of these for) was just sent this e-mail, from BarnesandNoble@m.bn.com
