redspottedhanky update:
Unfortunately, a huge number of fraudulent accounts have been set up to redeem the Travelodge offer. Because of this, redspottedhanky and the Travelodge have had to remove the offer completely.
We’re extremely sorry for the inconvenience to all of our loyal customers and will continue to work on this issue.

That's really unfair. The credit on my DD's account has been removed even though the account is well used.£2021 in 2021 no.17 £1,093.20/£20210 -

I suspect RSH get fed up with every offer they do getting ripped off by the greedy.
My advice is when you get a code use it ASAP0 -

My account has over £20 of recent purchases on it and has had the credit removed as well.Strange way to go about it - I can only imagine their technology only allows them to wipe out everyone's vouchers whether the account is new or not.
I suspect Travelodge may have partly sponsored each of the vouchers and when they found out that RSH didn't have a proper mechanism in place to prevent misuse they withdrew from the deal and RSH weren't prepared to meet the shortfall so the vouchers were removed.0 -
Quite a number appeared on e-bay, Went to collect my ticket at the station this morning found that the booking had been cancelled.0

A few weeks ago when RSH ran a similar free £10 credit offer in The Sun (when most of the free credit codes had disappeared before the last code word had even been printed in The Sun, as people had guessed and published the last code word online), a tiny minority of people were boasting how they had added hundreds of pounds worth of credit to their RSH account, when of course it was only intended as one credit per account. Why didn't RSH take action then? The Tesco Clubcard Perks RSH credit offer from last week still hasn't been sorted for many people, when credit for that was intended to be added within 72 hours (this Friday is the latest promise to sort that one), and they went straight on with this Travelodge credit offer, which has caused the latest mess. RSH do frequent offers which is great, especially as not many companies do what they do and include existing customers. It's just the offers are rarely trouble free!0
