I'm on and sorted. That has been one of the longest most stressful months ever and we have got there by the skin of our teeth.

Must must must stick to budget this month. Things are quite tight still so not much room for maneuver. Need to stop 'nipping' to the shop. So bad for the budget and waistline.

Need to get back on with surveys too to put towards Christmas:santa2::xmastree:

    Have a happy Friday people.

Day at home today. Started sorting DDs wardrobe out 2 and a half hours ago and still at it! She only needs 2 cardis and some new tights and she is set. I have just ordered her those so not a nsd but they will get lots of wear. Both need new shoes as ds's are too summery and dd's are rubbing

Both children need snow boots and dd needs some waterproof trousers but will look at that next month.

Meal planning is really working Oh did a weekly shop for £40 yesterday including tea coffee and cleaning 'bits' and loads of Diet drinks as I am so really pleased with that.

My plan is to be as good as possible up until Xmas and then really get stuck into savings. x

Unless something goes wrong today it will be a NSD! I never ever have a nsd! Woohoo hope this is the start of many. These forums definitely help keep me on the straight and narrow. xx

Lovely weekend had. DD had lots of friends over to play with and a party to go to yesterday so she hasn't needed much entertaining. Ds is growing up so fast he changes everyday. So glad I only work part time so I can enjoy it.

Had parents over for lunch yesterday. We had rustic veg and beef in red wine sauce with a nice bottle of vino to go with it. Leftovers for lunch. Yum.

Pasta bake from the meal plan for later and planning another NSD.

Car insurance is up for renewal so need to look into that. Hopefully get a bit through tcb too.

I've been busy sorting Christmas presents. Sorted and finished my childrens so they can go in the loft until December. All bought in the sale or on offer:A

Meal planning going really well. No takeaways or buying off plan. This is a massive step forward for us. Cottage pie tonight. Yum.

Just made some breadcrumbs to freeze out of old crusts that we have mountains of. Thanks for the inspiration Tilly.

It's rainy and miserable today. Much colder in the house but still 18 degress on the thermostat so no heating needed yet. Hoping to brave it through until 1st November. Brr.

I am concentrating more on the savings than the mortgage so only a few pounds a month going over now.

Savings looking ok I am aiming for £5k in the rainy day account. Currently £1000.22 :rotfl:

The other savings (holiday/car/general birthday/xmas) tick over nicely themselves with a monthly standing order.

Just had a walk to L1dl. I'm an Ald1 gal usually. I was quite impressed. I think they have upped their game since my last visit. I got fruit, veg, bread and milk and few other bits and bobs and it was £13.47. Think thats all we need out of this weeks budget. Meal planning is so the way forward!

No big plans today. Have some soup to make up for lunch. Chilled out afternoon and then DD has a friend coming for dinner. x

Went out to the pub last night I was Des so spent £1.50:rotfl:
had a really lovely time catching up with friends.

Relaxed morning today. Doing craft bits with DS sticking and drawing.

Work tonight and tomorrow. Wish it was a weekend off. :(

Still have £67 out of £100 weekly spends which I take out every Tuesday so very happy with that.

    Have a lovely weekend.
