Even my OH thinks I'm abit stingy and not living for today when I decide to save/OP rather than splash out - not that I don't sometimes, just not at every opportunity. It doesn't bother me because I know (well, hope) that in X years time we'll reap the benefits of it. Hope your DIY project starts to look up soon!

Thanks Becky, I hope so. I keep telling myself we will be the ones living it up guilt free in a few years. *won't go to Next*won't go to Next* :money::money:

Just been sorting out clothes for DS as he is ready to move up to the next size. I'm so lucky that I get 'hand me downs' which not only are free they are lovely and good quality. I don't need to buy him anything for the next year other than shoes which is fab!

Another weekend doing Diy. Looking good and hopefully this time next month will be finished. Got lots of trades people in and out this week which I hate. Feel awkward in my own home. It will be worth it though I hope.

Hey Muser, glad to see you stay true to your name :P

There are a bunch of survey websites you could get stuck into to help you through!

How about something like https://www.opinionoutpost.com/ or http://www.pineconeresearch.com/faq.asp?? I used these a few years back when living in the states, wonder if they're UK friendly.

    Happy saving!

Oh dear - sounds expensive...... I can really recommend the paint though.... our hallway/landing etc is looking as good as the day it was painted.
