Had a very spendy weekend. Bought some furniture on Friday which was budgeted for but was still a lot of money! Then had a unplanned weekend away. Cost a couple of hundred and I felt so guilty spending the money. It was paid out of the holiday 'pot' so we had the money but I can't shake the feeling that it was a bit naughty. I think it's because we have always done things like that and just chucked in on a credit card or the overdraft. I can't get used to having actual money!
Kids had a lovely time so memories created and that has to be worth a couple of hundred £s doesn't it?
Money taken out today for the week. £1 spend at coffee group with DS. Have a Birthday to buy for but should be ok this week.
Chicken Rissoto for dinner, reduced from M0rris0ns the other night. £6 worth for 90p. Can't grumble at that.
Sold 2 things on Ebay last week, was a bit worried they wouldn't be liked so was very happy to see I have positive feedback.
Strange old journey this MFW one. I feel a bit like I'm living a double life! I don't talk about it in RL, so absolutely love this site.

So far so good this week on the spending front. Sticking within budget.
Had left over chilli for lunch was delicious. DS has been at nursery and DD at school so I have spent the morning giving the house a good clean. Upstairs is all done and I have run out of time for downstairs (will have to just have a quick flick about). It just seems never ending. I think I might have to get on board with the fly ladying. Ironing is threatening to invade and I just don't seem to have the time or inclination for housework at the moment. I wish I would just get on with it because I feel so much better with things sorted.
I think if you visited my house it would look very organised, it's really tidy because I have lots of hiding places for cr*p. A bit like the episode in friends where they find Monicas cr*p cupboard!
Right enough moaning.. Jobs still to do
- dust living room
- Hoover living room
- put lunch dishes away
- hoover and mop ground floor
- peel spuds for dinner
- collect ddMortgage Jan 13 99260.00 87253 April 2017

Boring day today. Pottering around at home with ds. Lots of washing and sorting 'bits'.
Just made a couple of 'Tilly tidies' one of £5 and one of 86p! They really do make me chuckle but it all adds up.

Lovely morning with a very happy little DS. We have played and played and he is having a well deserved sleep.
I have just done a survey about cakes, so now eating cake and drinking tea! Couldn't resist.
House all hoovered and washing machine on. My washing powder has lasted for weeks! Just shows how much I wasted before. Hubby was insistent I didn't stop using fabric conditioner. I stopped two weeks ago and he is yet to notice! :money:
I was given 2 huge bags of clothes for the children yesterday so that's brilliant and saves me having to buy them any for quite a while. Aren't some people generous? :A
Weather doesn't seem to know what it's doing. But i'm away to peg out anyway!
Hope your days have been more exiting than mine.

Ordered a present from the B0dy Shop on Monday and it arrived today. 40% off with free delivery and 10% cash back. Brilliant!
Second good thing is a cheque arrived from an insurance policy that I had in 2008 with a refund for £8.98! Random but will go nicely into my ISA.

Just looked through my bank accounts. Our joint current account is so messy! So many fiddly little transactions that will have made sense at the time but look utterly confusing after a few weeks! Not sure if we have the correct money left to last the month. Will have to keep a close eye on it.
Very nearly put the ch on last night. It was chilly! Settled for a hot water bottle. Oh looked at me like I was mad. xxMortgage Jan 13 99260.00 87253 April 2017

Somebody help me I have just cut up cereal boxes to use for lists! I'm getting obsessed with this MSE malarky! Does anyone else sometimes forget in rl that not many people 'get' this I sometimes do or say things and people look at me like I am losing the plot! xxMortgage Jan 13 99260.00 87253 April 2017

Not posted in ages! Diy project seems to be costing so much! We are remodelling the utility room and lounge and everything just costs so much money. It's stuff like moving pipes and wires and pating for plaster etc. Boring stuff that you don't even see! Very depressing.
Weekly money seems to go no where. grrr
How does everyone cope with none mse friends. An example being the hysteria around the Next sale. Everyone spending a fortune kitting there kids out in gorgeous clothes. I struggle not to get carried away with it too. I havn't ordered anything, have been very good but I do find it a challenge. Also Xmas/Birthdays is a similar situation.
Wow that was a miserable post! Will try and be more cheerfull later. xxMortgage Jan 13 99260.00 87253 April 2017
