T-mobile tethering?

Am on theffull monty 45plan which is a scilly name and even more scillier now for me as I cannot tether so it's clearly not full monty for me. What I wanted to check is whether or not I have a case should I ring them and ask about the bar which is clearly evident as I can no longer tether the wifi anymore?
Tethering isn't allowed on the full monty.
You have no case (unless you were mis-sold)

I don't see what the problem is, why are service providers so afraid of tethering. Does it really make a difference if you prefer accessing web pages using a tablet, rather than a phone, what the hell, you're still paying for it. Pretty soon we will all have to refer to the terms and conditions before making a phone call, there are so many, can't do this, can't do that clauses it makes me sick!
I agree with you on limited data plans.
But on Unlimited data plans it makes sense to have tethering blocked/as an add on/on the highest cost plan.
With an unlimited internet package people can abuse it by tethering non stop and putting a strain on the network. So networks who offer truly unlimited data have to have some rules. I think that's fair enough.0 -
I've been tethering for a couple of months and hammering it with Internet, FaceTime, downloading apps, email to both my laptop and ipad.
No block or additional fees yet :!0 -

Two reasons really, one is that mobile pages are often smaller, so lower in size to send around, and secondly if tethering is allowed people take the Michael. Each mast can only support so much data, if one person hogs it others suffer.
Not directly related but GiffGaff used to do unlimited minutes in a Goody bag, and some punters effectively talked the equivalent of for 9 days a month. If it wasn't for the few taking the hiss it may still be there but they did and the tariff was removed. For data its the same thing, hence why as ZHugeEX says they have to put blocks in place to prevent abuse and degrading the service for others.0 -
The part I don't understand is that my wife and my uncle also have the same tmobile plans as me, but they are not blocked when they tether but am clearly blocked, and this ws cconfirmed when I rang them today about this. So now not sure how to escalate this further as it doesn't make sense. When I asked the customer service agent about which tariff can have tethering she stated non, and yet my wife and uncle can tether 24hrs?0

It's still against T&C. They aren't supposed to tether. It's just T-Mo obviously haven't picked up on it and blocked them.0
