Do you use cleansing wipes - the quickest way to clean your skin at night?

Options
Hello again, I have heard that cleansing wipes are bad for your skin but I can't be bothered with cleansing at night so I do that in a morning and use a wipe at night.

I've been into two Boots stores today to get some of those No7 wipes with my vouchers and they had sold out completely, so if they are so bad for your skin they still sell pretty well.

Any views?

    I used to use cleansing wipes but switched to a facial wash about 6 months ago. My skin is so much better for it less break outs.

    I do still use facewipes occasionally but more for correcting make up or if reapplying it if I am going out.

    I use the No7 wipes morning and evening and have done for years. My skin is pretty good - I'm in my fifties and have very few lines and wrinkles, no dry patches or spots. I have occasionally tried other wipes and cleansers, but always come back to No7 wipes - love them!

    I used to use them when travelling for convenience but they do dry my skin out more than wash and toner, I use Clinique three step program and I have travel sized from Clinique bonus time offers..much better for my skin.

    Cleansing wipes are one of the cheaper items, which means they're really popular when Boots give out vouchers.

    Good thread!

    I think cleansing wipes have their uses (including correcting makeup mistakes, as previously mentioned). They are also brilliant for taking on holiday, as they are an easy way to circumvent the hand baggage restrictions (all the makeup removal and cleansing you desire without lugging around several of those dinky little bottles!), and I always have a pack beside my bed that I use when I am feeling really lazy and cannot be bothered to wash my face properly. It is definitely better to use cleansing wipes than to not wash your face at all.

    HOWEVER:
    - cleansing wipes are a very expensive way of cleaning your face if you get good ones (I dread to think how much bennifred spends on her routine of using the No7 wipes morning and night!). While cheap ones are available, they are not always going to do your skin any good;
    and - I don't believe that they are going to cleanse your face or remove makeup quite as well as washing your face properly would do. Even though I always try to use both sides of the wipe, and go round my face several times when using them, I'm always paranoid that my face won't be completely clean (it's not unusual to find traces of makeup still coming off in the morning when you do wash your face properly...).
    Equally - face wipes have the big disadvantage of drying out once opened, which is definitely a problem for periodic users. You'll never have that problem with a traditional cleanser or makeup remover!

    Tis true - they're not cheap! :o which is why I occasionally try other things. However they're perfect for me, I always load up when they are on 3-4-2 and also use points (I shop a lot at Boots online, as I can't get out to the shops much) which helps a bit......

    I always keep some in my handbag, you never know when you might need a snack. Plus they are handy for removing makeup on aeroplanes, wouldn't use them for that purpose at any other time.

    Just a Girl, maybe a stupid question but do you buy it from the supermarket and what do you actually do with it?
