DLA advice

The only advice I can give regarding DLA is to concentrate on your own care needs. Not those of your children.
Even being unable to prepare and cook a meal for yourself should give you an element of LRC. I don't get it even though I can't do it from scratch, but then I've never applied for it because I don't deem myself bad enough for it.
When it came to my daughter's DLA, I found it quite easy to fill out for her, because I know exactly what I'm doing for her. Maybe it would have been better to sit with your husband and concentrate on what he does, so it shows where you have the need. There maybe things he does for you that go unnoticed. There are plenty that I do for my dd that goes unnoticed. Even though I'm sure if she sat and though about it long enough....4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
thanks i have had it for 5yrs ish and the last 12 mnths have been alot worse for me in many ways i lost my job because of it and its got to the point where i thought about making a claim which i have sent off i did not put on the form about my child or children as it was irrelevent to the questions i answered on the form. i put what i struggle to do ans how my husband helps me and answered them honestly.0

Sorry, I know it wasn't your intention when you posted this, but I'm laughing hysterically at the idea of you [or others now thinking about] putting this on your/their DLA form. :rotfl:
Sorry Op, didn't mean to hijack.
when i first claimed DLA ( in 1996) my friend helped me fill the form in.
she was the persson on the gorm under the heading ' someone who knows how your conditiobn affects you'
they wrote to her and she repluied. she said that i need someone with me when outdoors because otherwise i 'cause chaos'
i was awarded despite her 'helpful' comments
Your meds are not particularly strong at the moment, and certainly not indicative of someone in chronic pain. I would focus on getting the right treatment at the moment, and then review whether to reapply for DLA. Pain management will improve your quality of life far more than benefits.
Your previous posts regarding your son do refer to you providing care for your child. It might be worth getting your story straight - if the DWP was to query your claim they could use the other application form against you.
(highlighted) isnt particuarly relevant to DLA. someone who is in chronic pain may not even take meds (due to religion for e.g).
all that matters is that care and mobility or either or is met to their "descriptors" (or case law) meds can be indicative to a condition, wich maybe not very well controlled by a GP or understood by a gp and under prescribe, and as ilness is not relevant to DLA only care and mobility problems this is often discounted about your meds and if a decision is based upon meds easily challenged at tribunal.
OP diclofenac if purchased over the counter i would be extremely carefull on its use, the drug is currently under investigative report due to its serious side affects especially if the side affects are in the family history such as heart attack or stroke make sure your GP knowns and understands your use of them, do not suddenly stop taking them, but reassure yourself with a GP that they are right for you. a simular drug in the NSAID family called vioxx was with drawn from use by the manufacturer due to simalar side affects.0
