    I'm also leaving my student house. Phoned Virgin Media today and as we're obliged to pay for 12 months, I reduced us to their lowest broadband only package at £18.

    It's a shame, but Caveat Emptor!

    ntl's student contracts were a joke anyway. My son and his housemates had one last year, however it never ended when it should have and they continued to get bills, my son ended up phoning them about 4 times (each time they had a bill) before they admitted the contract had ended. Apparently, if you don't phone them at the end of the contract it doesnt end!!
