How long to receive your Homebuyers survey report from Countrywide?

I've read some negative things about Countrywide and their slowness, but our buyer is having survey done through them, surveyor due tomorrow.

I was just wondering how long it will take for our buyer to receive it so I'd be grateful if you could let me know how many days it took to receive yours after surveyor conducting the survey?

Thanks.

  • Hi
Our homebuyers report was carried out by Countrywide on 13th Feb, we received a copy by email on the 20th.
I did call them a couple of times just to keep on top of it and to ask for a copy by email as well as a copy in the post.

got mine within 48 hours of survey taking place. main issue was the EA being useless and making them wait over a week for access.

as above, ask for it to be emailed over.

It took nearly two weeks between our Countrywide survey being done and them emailing it; that was because their useless systems never registered us agreeing to their terms and conditions.

In the end we had to ask them to email the terms document, print it out, sign it, scan it, and email that back to them. They then issued the report by email immediately.

So if you are experiencing a big delay do check something like that hasn't happened.

Had one in March this year on a house I bought - took three long weeks to arrive. They emailed a copy (and posted) as they'd taken so long to write up the bloomin' thing. I was chasing my mortgage bod nearly every day, and she was chasing Countrywide. She ended up ringing the surveyor direct on his mobile (which apparently she's not really meant to do) and he said he'd been delayed with something-or-other and would do it within the week (despite the office saying it had been done and was being sent/would be emailed).

    House is in East London.

  • I'm in East London too and they were really slow about doing the survey itself, so am expecting them to be equally slow about sending the report. That's crazy that it took three weeks for you, Jo.
