Go for the Vectra, the blindspot over the shoulder is slightly smaller than the Mondeo and in terms of servicing/parts it is significantly cheaper to operate than the 307.
In 2003 the Vectra won the best family car award, beyond very minor specification changes (add or subtract a gadget) that would be the same car as a 2004 so you will be buying an award winner.

Have a one year old Mondeo 2.0 TDCi & I hate it. The engine sounds like a bag of spanners.

Much prefer the VW I had before - next time around I'll be going VW or VAG group again.

Opinion seems to be split. You just need to go and test drive all 3 vehicles to see which feels right for you driving.

When I changed my car recently I was set on having another Corsa as I loved my old one. I was so disappointed when I test drove one as it was dreadful. I just test drove random cars I had no intention of buying just to narrow down my search and then sought out my vehicle.

OH did the same with his Mondeo. He had driven a few on work driving courses so he knew what he liked - once we had agreed on what we both liked driving - I didn't like Vectra inside - we sourced the car.

I'd go for the Mondeo if it was my choice.

    Thanks for the opinions :D

He's narrowed it down to the Vectra or Mondeo and like Poppy mentioned he's gonna go and test drive a couple and get the feel of the car.

    thanks again :D

Don't forget to squeeze the dealer right to the bone with haggling and pricing off against competitors, etc., read the article for more. :D

I'd say DO NOT go with the 307 (even though I own and love my 306.)

Mondeo probably over the Vectra, but you should easily be able to pick up a Vectra much cheaper ...

Go shopping online too to get a feel for great deals. I've bought two cars sight unseen on line and been very pleased with them both.

Havent driven the Pug, so cant comment on that, Have driven a few Mondeos and Vectras, And if it was my own money I wouldnt touch either, IMO they make no sense as a personal purhase, but are for a company rep cars.
If thats the short list I would go for the Ford, I would rather gnaw my own legs off than drive a vectra, horrible cars.
