Anyone know how long the wrap lasts? - Is it lifetime or does it eventually peel off?

Re the treevo quote in your sig.. you realise that the RSPCA work with the police and can get IP address information don't you? They work very closely with the rozzers and are a prosecuting organisation that is bigger than the average joe.

go read the thread the sig came from.

and no police just cannot obtain my ISP without proof that i have commited a crime. to do so would be illegal.

I read the thread a long time ago.

Oh and yes the police CAN obtain your details via your ISP without evidence. It's called an investigation and they've been performing those for years quite legally. Granted they might need a court order but the courts do grant these if there is suspicion.

out of everyone here who has seen the quote, you take acception,,,,mmmmm.

    your post is contradictory.

on the right hand:Oh and yes the police CAN obtain your details via your ISP without evidence. It's called an investigation and they've been performing those for years quite legally.

on the left hand: Granted they might need a court order but the courts do grant these if there is suspicion.

so wich is it as it seems you dont know and have taken a wild guess.

so lets go back to that thread, and look at my post.

i made a offer of advice to someone not knowing about the legalities of a certain subject given the fact i dont delve into animal welfare legislation. i retracted and aplogised and gave my reason.

then was jumped on by keybourd warriors and hence the quote in my sig as i find it amusing.

so i have not commited no crime, there is no basis in fact a crime has been commited, so no reasonable grounds to suspect.

is my ISP obtainable in this case NO, why because there is nothing to suggest that a crime had been is being or about to be commited.

no court orders are not given to officers without evidence to back up their suspicion of a crime.

Insurance companies probably see putting a coke in a tea/coffe holder as a modification, they don't need any excuses:(
If they see this as a modfication, then it could be argued that using a non manufacturer specified polish on paintwork is a modification.

no polish and interior mods are not classed as mods that affect the insurance.

    but vinyl wrap is.

i say use some rotary and proper detailing compounds like 3m 3 stage to polish the roof.

vw are head paint and will be are struggle to tcutthe whole roof with a cloth

Your signature is immature and pointless.

How does tht contradict anything? All I'm saying is that with or without a court order, they can still get someones (note I never explicitly said you/yours in my first reply) address details for an investigation if there is SUSPICION. You are the one saying they can only do so if a crime HAS BEEN COMMITTED. There is a difference. I have contradicted nothing.
so lets go back to that thread, and look at my post.

Rather not, can't you just remove the signature instead?
hence the quote in my sig as i find it amusing.

I find it immature and sad if I'm honest. Just drop the sig, forget the warriors and move on.

I could get your ISP with just your IP address. IP addresses are publicly registered to individual ISPs. Anyone can do that - it's called a whois lookup. What they can't do is get your personal details FROM THE ISP. The police however CAN. Yes they may need a court order but they only need to prove their suspicion and they'd get one.
no court orders are not given to officers without evidence to back up their suspicion of a crime.

If someone posts a video on youtube of something illegal or posts a comment somewhere claiming they did x,y,z then thats evidence enough for suspicion.

Like I said, just drop the sig mate. You're clearly upset by what happened in that thread but its childish to keep it in your sig. The authorities CAN and WILL get address details of anyone they want.

So you're saying a stereo swap is not a mod that may increase the odds of a claim?

From a legal standpoint I think you might have isues with the police if they run your plate through ANPR and it comes up as a green car when you've had it wrapped red.

You'd be looking for a pull there just to see if the car is cloned I'd have thought, which is good policing really.
What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?
