greenstar 28i junior combi

Hi all looking for advice on a problem that has cropped up on my worchester 28i combi boiler .
A leak has developed today ,I have taken the covers off and spotted water squirting out of the top of the black plastic block which is to the RIGHT of the water pump and looks like it is attached to the HEAT exchange unit .
I think it might be called the RETURN unit the bit where the leak is ...is where the UNUSED port is .
Help needed as to cost of plastic unit and any advice on how hard /easy it is too replace .
Cheers all ...NOTE its a water leak and I will NOT be touching the gas side and I am a COMPETENT person ..

The fact that you have to ask those questions means you aren't COMPETENT, if you look at the cover you have removed you will see a rubber seal around it, this is a case seal & it isn't there to make it look pretty, but of course you know this being COMPETENT, get a RGI to repair it, or a fixed price repair from WB

It's not a "closed shop" it's people who have done the training & have been assesed & have paid the fees to be safe to work on a gas appliance.

Any "good people" that are willing to help won't be gas safe reg & therefore not competent to give advice

why don't you look at the front of the boiler now you have removed the cover, what's that seal going all the way around it, or have you already removed this thinking it's not serving any useful purpose

ps thanks for the link to my profile page, I've been looking for that for ages

Underneath the cover is a open hole where the pipes go into the boiler .
Please go as you are starting to appear foolish .

As I said at the start I am a competent person and I am NOT disturbing the GAS work .
It is a water leak .
Now please "closed shop " people move on .
